Damn Good
Model:KRK Rokit 7 G4Pros:- Quality. Damn these are heavy duty! I have a feeling they'll last a long time.- Audio. Once you have them properly grounded, positioned, and calibrated (I use them in a somewhat sound treated room with SoundID Reference software for calibration to clean up what the sound treatment cannot), audio is crystal clear. Surprisingly good low ends for reference hardware as well. It isn't the most insane, but it beats most others at the same price range.- Software. The phone app was pretty nice. Definitely feels a bit more of a gimmicky selling point when compared to the quality of the actual speakers, but I did get some use out of the alignment tool and it was cool to see how my phone mic received audio with their visual EQ. I would still recommend using professional calibration tools though, the app is still using a smartphone mic to calibrate, that can't be great hah.- Controls. They let you change different EQ ranges right on the device itself. I didn't get much usage out of that after initially playing around with it, but it is a very cool option that I could see myself using if I was in a poorly sound treated environment.Questionable:- Sleep mode? The front logo that lights up when they are powered on seems to dim out when they haven't been active for a while. Not sure if this saves power but if it does, another bonus.Cons:- Logo placement. I'd love to see studio monitors of this quality not outwardly show the brand logo. The characteristics of the speaker design speaks for itself. I think using the brand logo as the power indicator and slapping it in the front was a poor choice, especially when most users will buy a pair of them and they are both on the left side. Just a small detail that may have been overlooked.Overall:Clean, dependable, fairly priced studio monitors. I'd recommend these over most others at this price range. As long as I don't run into any odd issues, I can see myself using these as my daily driver for many years to come.

Great Speakers, Shipping by FedEx
Hi:1rst, they sent the speakers via FedEx without telling me and made them, "Direct Signature Required." You need to be present to accept the speakers, so plan on staying home from work or whatever. I tried having Fedex hold at the store: Nope. I called the seller 3 times: No answer, no return call. I called Amazon, and they tried to get FedEx to hold it at the store: Nope. Amazon called the seller: No answer. Amazon emailed them: Oh they respond that signature is required. God .... what an annoying process. The speakers are great though. Very well made.I'll start with a negative: They use Class-D amps that hiss at baseline, without any wires attached. The good, the sound so great and the hiss isn't noticeable from 2 feet away too much to bother me, and I am very sensitive to any reduced SQ.Speakers are 3 feet left and right from my screen/station. They seem to have perfect sound. Very accurate. Very good balance. They sound like a damn concert in my studio. Very good sound dispersion. The adjustments on the speakers are ... meh, but you have a very accurate sensitivity knob. The bass is great, very accurate for all generes that I've tried: Techno, Rock, country, R+B, hip hop, rap, classical.I'm using an ID14 to control them; using Boom for EQ. I left the speakers' EQ flat and just use boom.I would def. buy again, just not from this seller d/t the shipping nonsense.

Mediocre quality
After 3 years one of the speaker started to have consistent humming noise. Not great quality for the reputation those are advertised at. Will go with Yamaha now - safer bet.

Ooohh, sounds so good with the 10.5” KRK sub in my home studio
Love these speakers. Crisp clear sound. Nice construction and quality materials. The best bang for your buck.

Kind of crazy how good they sound
I bought these to replace my 20 plus year old KRK k-rok passive speakers. These are used at my secondary “keyboard station” of my studio. The main mix position features Focal Twin BEs with a Focal sub and has been professionally tuned by Bob Hodas. For the past 4 years they've lived in this location until this week when they had to fill in for my broken Focals. I'm sort of stunned at how great they sound in the main location of my studio. Keep in mind that I've spent a lot of time and money in dialing things in at the mix potion. So, just popping these in place of the Focals and having them connected to the existing sub woofer was an experiment. I'm able to record and mix with confidence and can recommend them as a great budget alternative. It's also a reminder that speaker placement and crucial room tweaking is really 50% of the speaker equation with any speaker;-)

Dial up the clarity
I’ve been using these gems in my studio for almost a year. The deliver an honest sound that translates the mixes into a palette you won’t have to work and rework over and over. The digital eq/tuner is quick and will enable you to work within your space. Just get them if you’re tettering back and forth between the Adams or Yamahas. You’ll have less ear fatigue and enjoy them more.
