Great phone , nice and loud for the hard of hearing , the battery is good , easy to charge with the base and easy to use even my 80 year old mother

I bought this for my 92 year old Mum who is currently in a nursing home while deciding her future needs but she loves phoning people so thought this sounded ideal but wasn't as we wanted/thought it would offer. Pros The price Nice big bright screen Big buttons Charging cradle/holder - much easier to charge and one of our pre-requisites for purchasing. Cons The ringtone - there is no "ring ring" tone without going online and the melodies provided just sound like TV noise on a SIM with no data this hasn't been an option.. Music player - Not needed anyone who wants this will buy a more expensive/dedicated item. Contact list - this just isn't user friendly to older people (the intended market) who may have reduced dexterity it is actually easier just to put the number in manually each time. No user manual in the box. We so far haven't been able to find it online either. It really doesn't need a camera either. We will probably have to research this more and find a more suitable product which is a bit of a shame as it is an item that could have been so much better with a bit of thought behind it and testing with some elderly people or people who know elderly persons needs.

I bought one of these for my95 yr old mother. Its was to replace an Alcatel big botton phone that wore out. This looks similar but its very poorly thought out. It has features that just get in the way like the radio and mulitmedia and the ring tone cannot be changed, or I cannot find out how. Every time you open the contacts menu the you have to scroll through the "create new" and other options before you get to the list of contacts. This phone designed for older people yet the navigation button is small and confusing. I spent an hour showing my mother how to use this phone and came to the conclusion that the best place for it is the rubbish bin. Call quality and battery life is good, but the menus are so badly designed its close to unusable.
