Best Swords for Play Sword Fighting
These swords are perfect for play sword fighting. They are tough enough and stiff enough to really play/ practice sword fighting, and soft enough that no one gets hurt. we've tried many other sword types and these are the best by far. They will eventually bend, break and wear out with lots and lots of vigorous play, but they work better and last longer than any other brand we have tried, and the price is amazing. Our first set (which we bought at a local store, but now have been unable to find again locally) lasted about 2 years with hours and hours of vigorous sword play, but eventually it was time to replace them. So when we found these at Amazon so such a fantastic price, it was an easy decision to buy them again. We already have several hours of action with the new ones, and they are working perfectly and holding up well , just like our first set. Looking forward to many more hours of sword play with my grandson.

Survived a group of Teenagers
I bought these as an introduction to fencing at a kids’ party. There were a dozen children aged 7 to 17. I was concerned about them surviving the older male teenagers but they did! Two hours of the kids playing them was the most fun—and of course the fencing turned into an all out war of no rules sword fighting), and still NONE of these fell apart. The worst thing that happened is that one of the blue handles came unstuck but the kids shoved it right back on and kept fighting. Definitely recommend!!

fun for play therapy
I am a child therapist, and it's very important to hold space for violent play for kids who have experienced trauma or violence. My clients have really gravitated towards these swords and have really enjoyed playing with them. The size is great for pretend sword fights! My main concern is how many marks/creases they arrived with despite being shipped in a long box (i.e., they were not just shipped in plastic/they had more protection) and they do seem like they are not as sturdy as I may need them to be. However, they have worked well for me so far and replacing them down the road won't be the end of the world at the price. They have been a great addition to my office!

The Fun Doesn't Last
The kids will have fun playing with these. However, note that the sword pieces are glued together and will fall apart with use. For example the handle on one of the swards fell apart within the first 10 minutes of playing. Two of the other swords have bent within a day or two (not unexpected because they are made of foam). These are relatively unexpensive and I didn't have high hopes for durability when I bought them anyway so I won't be returning them. Just keep that in mind and I think your kids will enjoy the items.

Wow
My kids are rough and we buy these every single year to replace the last. They always play with them. These are a great gift for kids. These are more stuff than others too. The handlebars broke immediately but I didn’t care for that part. They still got their use.

Broken out of the box
I ordered this in a pinch for my students to reenact scenes from Romeo and Juliet. Before they even got into the hands of a student, I pulled one of the swords out of the box and it fell apart in my hand - namely at the tip of the hilt where the black button was barely glued in place. The glue is sloppily visible on all of the swords and I can tell these will not last very long in a classroom setting, which is unfortunate as I was hoping to get a few years out of them.

Fun but disposable
Our children love these but they’re all completely destroyed in under an hour. Not a very good deal.

Great for kids to play with without worrying about hurting each other.
