Great quality set and a good read. My 7th grader is reading these and the set is significantly cheaper than buying each book individually (especially at a book store vs Amazon) . The plot is a little “heavy” for me but he loves it. My understanding is the world is dystopian and perfect and no one dies, so for population control, they must elect those to kill off. A bit of hunger games-esque. Hope this helps

Purchased as a gift and the set was a great read. I was told that he couldn't put it down.

Child had already read first book previously. Obviously, this was a great choice. I do get complaints and/or the books do not actually get read to completion if the writing and/or plot are no good. The 8th grader had expressed concern that sometimes sequels are not as well written as the initial book--I did not hear about that concern again once the reading began. As stated, Book 2 and Book 3 were read within 1 week.

My grandson loved these stories.

Our son was very excited to receive these books for Christmas. It’s currently the end of January and he has already read them. He has even been telling me I need to read them.

Item was of good quality. Packaging was super. Remarkably elegant delivery. Wish all sellers were this striking.

Bella trilogia con un vasto e bel plot narrativo. Non sono un esperto della lingua inglese, ma si riesce a leggere bene. Esiste anche la versione in italiano, ma se posso preferisco sudare un po', ma leggere in lingua originale

Just finished the first book already on to the second! When I first started this series I was a bit worried it would be to dark for me with the main plot of the book being about death. But boy was I wrong! Citra and rowan have my heart and it was incredibly fast paced and always held my attention. Personal I didn’t think it was anything like the hunger games as other reviews have said but I get that they have similar vibes. So if you think this book is going to be to dark for you just give it a try I promise it’s worth it!!

Hallo, Ich habe die Bücherreihe vor 3 Jahren gelesen (digital) und nun diese Sammlung für meine Freundin gekauft. Zuerst einmal ist die Aufmachung der Geschichte unglaublich interessant. Jedes Mal, wenn man ein weiteres Detail über die Welt, die hier erzählt wird, kennenlernt, ist man ein Stück mehr gefesselt an die Geschichte, die unsere beiden „Scythe“-Lehrlinge durchlaufen. Wir bekommen hier über den Verlauf der drei Bände wundervolle Charakterentwicklungen, Charakterabschlüsse und Wendungen. Mit jeder einzelnen Figur, die näher beleuchtet wird, fiebert der Leser mit. Die Politik der Scythe ist Recht oberflächlich dargestellt, aber das macht es sehr angenehm, da hier eher das im Fokkus steht, was die Politik bewirkt, statt der politischen Vorgänge. Alles in einem; ich hatte damals einen großartigen Sommer mit reichlich spaßigen Tagen am See und jeden Tag kam ich nach Hause und freute mich darauf, gut gelaunt, frisch geduscht mich ins Bett zu legen und 3/4 Kapitel in „Scythe“ zu lesen um damit einen schönen Tag anschließen zu können :) Ich hoffe ich habe hiermit jemandem Lust auf die Bücherreihe gemacht! Viel Spaß damit ;)
