Durable Swim Jammers That Handle Serious Distance
I put these TYR jammers through serious testing this summer - over 100 km of swimming in Lake Michigan - and they held up incredibly well with no issues. The Durafast One material lives up to its name; after all that distance and exposure to sun and water, they show no signs of fading or wear. They feel great on during long swims, providing good compression without being too tight or restrictive. The fit stays secure without riding up, and the adjustable drawcord keeps everything in place. The 4-way stretch is comfortable and allows full range of motion, which is crucial for longer distance swimming. They dry quickly after getting out of the water, and the 50+ sun protection is a nice bonus for outdoor swimming. For the durability and performance you get, these are excellent value.

Great for swimming laps
These are great jammers, I've had these for about a year, and I swim laps pretty regularly, probably average twice a week. These things have held up really well. I've been swimming regularly for a few years and this was my first pair of this type swim suit. This TYR jammer fits me amazingly well. I've read reviews on all these type swim suits, that they can be tight just above the knee, yeah maybe, but you either get used to it, or it loosens up, or its not really that tight. The liner inside works well as far as keeping things up front positioned, and the stitching seems strong, like you don't have to worry about the seams splitting like in the butt area. The draw string works well, not that you really have to use it that much, but its some added security I guess. These are so much better then swimming laps in board shorts or even shorter standard type swim trunks, you definitely notice the difference as far as gliding thru the water, What else; the color has held up (I got black), it has not faded much considering all the chlorine in the pool water. As far as size goes, I was confused with reviews saying order a size larger then you are. I ordered my waist size and they fit fine. One thing, I'm not sure if this type swim suit comes with a small pocket to store a lock key, that might be nice, but I realize these are made for competition/speed so maybe they don't make them with that option. I will buy these again in the future.

Comparison with Speedo Race Endurance +
The last time I needed a new suit, I purchased the Speedo brand equivalent (Race Endurance +) of this suit. At the time I purchased the Speedo, I wore a size 38 waist, and so I purchased one size down because in the past, I've found that one size down from my pant size usually works for competition suits. In the four months that I used that suit, I dropped down to a 36, and so when it came time for a new one, I figured 34 ought to be the right size. In retrospect, I should have purchased the 36 for the TYR brand. What I love about this suit: The material is a polyester blend which holds its form and color very well. The material also dries very quickly, and this is important because putting on a wet suit is a pretty awful feeling. The suit is tight enough to keep my business in place without being restrictive. When I get out of the pool, the suit doesn't suck up against my man bits to reveal a profile of what I've got going on, even after it's broken in. What I don't love about this suit: The waist is a bit tight, but I have myself to blame for this problem. The closure on the thighs are very tight at first almost to the extent that I would have to cut my workout short to avoid a complete cutoff of circulation, but this ameliorates over time. Even swimmers with smaller waists than mine could have more muscle mass in their thighs, and this makes the design problematic. For this design flaw, I drop one star. How it measures up against Speedo's Endurance Race +: I would give Speedo the nod overall, but not by much. When I purchased my Speedo, it was less expensive than it was when I bought this TYR. I would feel comfortable buying either again, and cost will be the sole factor in making that decision.

So good I bought two more
I've recently been learning to lap swim and needed some jammers instead of "normal" swim trunks. After looking on Amazon these seemed like a good balance of quality v.s. price. I took a chance and I've swam in them twice now during a 30 minute and 40 minute swim session and I think they're great. I followed the sizing guide on the product page and they fit perfectly. I ordered two more pairs and now I have three pairs total as I plan to swim 3 times a week. I'm hoping they hold up well!

Two Ply Drag Suit
I failed to recognize that this was a two ply suit. To be frank, I don't like the suit and wish I had not purchased. While the fit and support are good, it's heavy and causes noticeably more drag compared to my single ply jammers. Really, it felt like I was swimming in a t shirt. I was taking an extra half stroke for my warmup. Needless to say, I got a good workout with my masters group this morning. If you are looking for a good drag suit, this will be great. For me, I'll be tossing this into the lost and found.

Good suit - comfortable and functional
I've owned my TYR jammer suit for about two months and it has met or exceeded my expectations. My weekly average is about two hours of lap swimming, divided into three sessions on separate days. I don't consider this time period sufficient to review durability or longevity. Comfort: the comfort level is excellent, as evidenced by the fact that I almost never think about the suit when I'm in the pool. The suit neither rides up or down during use, and it stays flat to the body and streamlined. The leg openings seemed tight at first, but once the suit is on and the swimming has begun there is no discomfort there. Fit: I normally wear trousers and shorts size 34. However, my experience with athletic swim gear is that the garment is small compared to the stated size. So, I bought this item in men's size 36 and it is a very good fit for me. So you might say that the fit was "to expectation", but the expectation was that the suit would be on the small side.

Size up if you lift
Size up if you lift. I wear 34x34 pants but had to return the 34 suit and get a 36. Legs and butt too big suit was too tight.

I was a big fan of speedo jammers. The last one lasted for almost two years. Finally the waistband wore. I hesitated to change to TRY. I am happy I decided to have a TRY. It is lighter and less stiff compared to speedo. I am going to wait to test its endurance. Maybe I will come back to buy more.
