This kit is excellent for learning electronics and programming. EXCELLENT customer service.
This product comes with myriad electronic components to play with. The tutorial gives a decent overview of each component before explaining how to use them. The tutorial also shows how to program the microbit using both python and the block code. I did have one problem with the GPIO expansion board. For some unknown reason, smoke came out of one of the resistors on the board. I emailed the company about it and they told me they would send me a new board free of charge. That's great customer service.

Excellent kit
I like the various projects with the BBC micro bit chip. Since this is for my 12 YO grandson, I needed the kit to include the BBC micro bit. Now as he learns the basics, we can expand to more projects in the future.

I like that it had everything I needed to get started with it right away. I was pleased to follow the little booklet to test the microbit with its preconfigured program, just by plugging it to power. I did it by connecting it to a laptop but I could've also used a 9V battery (not included) with one of the accessories it came with. It seems like the PDF with examples wasn't properly reviewed as it has some English spelling and grammatical errors. That hasn't gotten in the way to completing a few of the tutorials already, some by my 8 and 10 yrs old boys. One reason to buy this set was the box to store things in. I found it too small, though. It fits everything but it is tight in there. I think I will buy a similar but, larger one. I'm hoping to getting other accessories over time, some wheels and others, hopefully.

La Micro bit ora funziona! Il mio computer non la legge!! In realtà il cavo usb fornito nel kit non è potenteva sufficienza per trasferire i dati. C'è stato bisogno di un altro cavo. Ora funziona!

microbitってどんなもんかなという軽い気持ちで購入。過去に Arduinoベースで自作キーボードを作ったことはあります。 基本的な使い方は microbitの本家のチュートリアルでなんとかなりました。 Blutooth モード・アップデートにするのが「A+B 押しながらresetを3回素早くクリック」だけ最初わかりにくかったですが、それ以外は全体的に良く出来てる印象でした。タブレットでプロジェクト作れる(PC無しでOK)のが便利です。 あとオマケのセンサー類の接続が皆目検討つかないです。各センサーが I2C なのか SPI なのか GPIO なのかぐらいの分類説明は欲しいです。電気に詳しい人は勘でわかりそうですが、組込ソフト屋レベルだと、チップの型番からI/F 調べるのはちょっとダルいなぁという印象で、ソフトにも電気にも詳しくない人はどうするんだろう?っていう状態で届きます。公式のコミュニティっぽいところで出てくるスケッチも外付け部品のプロジェクトになると数が少ない印象です。ある程度「この見た目の部品は〇〇センサーだろ」、みたいなのをわかってる人のヘルプが欲しいですね。 配線材とか基板とか含めてまあまあ機材としては一通り揃ってるみたいなのでボチボチ遊んでいこうかなと思っています。
