Dedicated Insulation Tester!
The Fluke 1503 is absolutely worth the money if you need a dedicated insulation tester. The LCD screen is clear and easy to read, even in less-than-ideal lighting. I recently used it during commissioning on a new ATS installation, and it performed exactly as expected; testing feeders was quick, straightforward, and reliable. The auto-discharge feature is a major safety advantage and gives peace of mind when working with stored energy. Overall, the meter is very user-friendly and efficient for its intended purpose. I already run a Fluke T6-600 and a Fluke 279 FC for my day-to-day metering, so I wasnโt looking for an all-in-one unit; just something dedicated to insulation testing. The 1503 fills that role perfectly without overcomplicating things. I may eventually upgrade to a Fluke Connect model for data logging and documentation, but for now, this unit handles the job exactly how I need it to.

Buy a case for the meter!
I donโt get it, you spend $550 dollars and it doesnโt come with a case? Would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Good but Defective Leads
I received this 1503 today, it works like it is supposed to but the one I got has a defective lead where the alligator clip attaches to the lead its crunchy sounding/feeling and its making a poor connection causing inaccurate readings. It would get a 5 star but I am not sure if this is a return item because it was defective or New. Also the one I got appears to have come from China/Japan. I have contacted Fluke for warranty and waiting to hear what they say.
