The doorknob arrived yesterday evening and I just put it in today. I would like to start by saying read the installation instructions before or as you install the doorknob. I have put in plenty of doorknobs over the years on thought it was pretty simple. I tried to put in the doorknob the first time and could not get it to fit properly because the latch was too short. I got mad, put the old doorknob back on and started the return process. As I was putting the new doorknob back in the box I noticed the arrow on the latch. I pulled it and the latch extended. Problem solved and the doorknob fit perfectly. Boy did I feel stupid. I went back on Amazon and canceled my return. The doorknob looks and works great. I turned the doorknob and it worked smoothly. I opened and closed the door and the latch worked perfectly. I checked both keys by locking an unlocking the door. They both moved smoothly and did not hangup. This doorknob is easy to use and install provided your not a know it all like me and read the installation instructions first. I feel this product is worth every penny I paid for it.

This fit my door perfectly. I replaced an old skeleton key type lock for this one. I had to fill the large opening the old one left in the door, with wood putty. It looks nice and works like it should. There is no lock, it feels like heavy with the proper weight that goes with higher quality products. There are no plastic parts and it's easy to assemble.

This knob was easy to install but maybe it's because I have installed many before. The instructions were not much help to me. The only problem with the installation was it was a bit difficult to get my screwdriver aligned with the screws because of the knob slightly in the way. I like the feel of the handle and it works well.

Let's be honest, these are on the lower end of doorknobs. That said, they are WAAAAY better than what came with my house 20 years ago. After 20 years, I had two locking knobs that would not turn correctly. It would take 3-4 twists to finally get it to unlock. Super embarrassing when guests come over cuz one is the bathroom door. I ordered 4 of these in brass cuz that's what matches what I have now. When I took the old doorknobs off, there was black dust everywhere. Turns out that center mechanism was made of plastic and just wore itself out over time. It was broken too. These things are made of metal and are FAR better then my tract home cheapies. What a huge difference!!!! Why did I wait so long???

This Copper Creek interior privacy door knob looks nice and is a good price. I bought this from Amazon because I could no longer find round interior bright brass door knobs in my favorite local DIY store. It is a little lighter than most I have bought but it does not look or feel cheap. I included more pictures than I usually do for a review so people can get a better idea of what’s in the box and what the knob looks like when mounted. The picture on Amazon makes it look like the latch bolt is bright brass but it isn’t (but that was not a show stopper for me). What I was happy to discover was that the brass plate that mounts to the door edge is removable, and they included the round mounting plate (which virtually all my door knobs use). Since “even” door knobs have built in obsolescence these days, I would definitely recommend this door knob to those looking for an inexpensive bright brass door knob.
