Better audio quality than FM transmitted bluetooth.
I have been using a Bluetooth that broadcasts to FM in my car, I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 that only has 145,000 miles, and the sound quality wasn't that good. I remembered using a device like this back in the day to play CDs in my first car. I found this one and an adapter to connect to my phone and now I have great audio.

Loud hum can't hear music
I tried everything with this, but merely inserting it causes a loud hum that drowns out any music. Even when unconnected to my phone. I bought it a long time ago and didn't test it because I assumed it would work fine. Now that my old cassette deck adapter has worn out and they don't sell that version anymore, I bought this as a backup and it doesn't work. I tried everything to see if I could fix it, or even just determine what the problem was and no matter what, it hums louder than the wind. It's not my car, it's not my phone, it's not the connection, so it is the device itself and no configuration or orientation made it any better. Just a constant loud hum.

Simply Won't Stay In!
Garbage. The audio is MONO, which I would have put up with but it simply refused to stay put. Always ejects, won't stop ejecting while playing. I smashed the thing because I am not gonna waste my time returning an 8$ item. Don't buy if you like listening to music.

I still use the old school ipod and this adapter works well on the stereo in the garage. Very handy
