I install floors professionally, and this screed has already made my job easier. I used to work with a 6-foot level, but this 8-foot tool is a huge upgrade. It’s easier to clean after use, and it’s perfect for checking uneven areas before doing any floor leveling. Solid quality and very practical for real job-site work.

I was a bit apprehensive to order this after reading the reviews about how banged up these got in transit and how the end caps were missing. I had no issues with the condition mine came in. The shipping label and stickers were annoying, but they did not affect the performance. After reading negative reviews of two-piece straight edge tools for cutting down sheets of plywood, I bought this item. It is solid, the price is right, and it works perfectly for the task. It is light for the size. I would definitely buy this again.

Arrived without a box but surprisingly it is in perfect shape. It’s true and straight and sturdy enough as a screed and also an extended fence for a table saw.

This screed is an all around good tool to have. It makes a very nice straight edge and guide for circular saw.

Am adding this review as there is lack of them. Does the job fine, but arrived with scrapes, bent aluminum on each end. Considering it cost $41 shipped complaining is hard as it's the cheapest eight foot screen I could find by a good margin. Hollow inside but seems sturdy enough. Beyond using it for leveling floors it's already proved useful to have a straight edge eight foot long; building the frame for a long window seat and verifying click-lock flooring was assembled straight spring to mind. Recently I DIY installed flooring on a concrete slab for the third time. Only on room ~350 sq/ft this time, but have done over ~2,000 sq/ft previously. This screed indeed identified three areas that were out of level with one area being almost 1/2" our over a few feet. Surprisingly one bag of LevelQuik was all that was needed to rectify. Plus time and patience of course.. Leveling is not they cleanest/ easiest task but essentially this screed is dragged over the concrete. Clean this and all tools before the concrete sets. If you are too slow apparently muriatic acid removes set concrete from tools and is cheaply available at DIY stores. Definitely more accurate than 2x4s. In the past I've used a straight looking 2x4 but this screed proved three I tried against were out by at least about 1/16->1/8" over eight feet.

Product came just like all the other reviews, no packaging! It was all scratched up and missing plastic end caps! Very disappointed! Expected more.

Very good product. Beware, Amazon often forgets to add the end caps. I had to reorder them separate from Bon Tools who were super helpful.

Product is ok, disappointed that it was dented, couple scratches and no end caps, double checked box, nothing, it was shipped this way, unfortunately no quality control

The bar itself was delivered relatively clean of scratches and straight, but it was missing one of the end caps. Who knows why but apparently this is a common problem with this unit.

Like all other reviewers have said, the aluminum part is great. However, one of the end caps is missing!! Really???? Why???? Sharing in everyone else's frustrations who have said the same thing.

I like it very much for 8 feet long it's perfect for make a wall or a floor straight. Only thing I want let you know the item itsself is great but the delivry by canada post is very poor it's take long time before I receive it.
