First impressions
This is my first impressions of the eSkde BPL430-S9 Backpack Leaf Blower The Good Fantastic price for what you get pound for pound.. Engine power/wind speed is out of this world and beats anything else that I've owned including the stilh back pack blowers, MacCulloch backpack blower and Kawaski kaaz backpack blower that's twice and 3 x the cost if this !... I would easily go to say that the overall wind speed is easily double to any of the above mentioned and I have to say that I'm completely blown away by how good it is. First start was a doddle and it fired up on the second pull (unlike the rest of the blowers that I've owned and this machine has got what I call a soft pull, so no need to pull it as hard as you can, just a slow pull is all that is needed!) The machine is extremely quiet compared to all of my others and its also got what I also call a gentle speed increase when you apply full power instantly (very much like my Macculloch backpack blower has) Now for the Not So Good Bits (but at this price who cares) The overall build quality is nowhere near as good as my other more expensive blowers, it's a bit like comparing the interior of a top of the range Mercedes to the interior of a soda, plastics are a little cheap looking, switches etc a bit flimsy and the padded back support is very cheaply made out of quite poor material (that wont last that long but could easily be replaced for a few quid) . The hardest bit to put together was the tubing itself very very tight fittings and a bit of a bitch to slide together if you want the full truth (all my other blowers where the exactly the same with this) A little bit heavier than a few of my blowers and I would say it's appropriate the same weight as my Macculloch 25 to 1 fuel ratio is a bit of a pain as this means that I now have to carry around another premixed fuel can, unlike my others that all was 40 to 1 fuel/oil ratio which is the same as all my other swimmers and hedge cutters If you can put all the ‘Not so good bits’ to one side like I have, you still have an unbeatable machine at a very very unbeatable price.... Obviously this is the first day that I've owned it and used the machine but I'm very convenient that it'll go on for quite a few years going by the smoothness of it's engine but I will update if anything goes amiss Still worth the 5/5 star rating every day despite the small short falls that it holds and I'm honestly thinking of purchasing a second and third one for my parents and another spare one for myself (yes that's how impressed I am with it so far, especially for it's overall wind speed power

effortless first start
Having unpacked and assembled the blower its appearance was as per the photo and description. The instruction manual left me somewhat bemused at certain points but when it came down to starting it, all became clear. The plastic bottle for measuring out the ratio of fuel to oil took out any guess work. With the choke set, throttle set and with two pulls it fired and ran sweet as you like. With straps adjusted and on my back it felt comfortable, not too heavy. Manipulating the air nozzle along with throttle control witnessed the leaves and general debris being swept along to a resting place. There is a considerable air delivery with this machine even at half throttle. Could not use full throttle due to having to adhere to a run in period as per the instructions. Going to be interesting to see jut how powerful the delivery airflow is once run in! Overall I am pleased with this purchase and the cost. Again why buy anything at a higher cost when this machine does it all as advertised. Definitely recommended. Having used it a couple of times now a serious problem. Beware of the fuel cap. It can be without effort, cross threaded, such that when you are using it fuel will and can spill down over your lower back without your knowledge. Not until you remover it does it become apparent. This happened twice with the second time knowingly I had capped the fuel container correctly. On further investigation the seal within the cap is to my mind not thick enough to correctly seal the fuel container. I made another thicker one and now the problem is solved. Worth noting.

Powerful, easy start, easy to set up
Awesome bit of kit. Easy to assemble, powerful and seems to get more powerful as it runs in. I started using it with slightly heavy oil mix as I believe that is a good thing to do. Use it every few days at the moment through my business. I also use to dry paths and patio's etc after I clean them! Starts very easily and performs well. Isn't very heavy and does exactly what I want it to do. Impressed so far. Now owned for 2 full years and used heavily. All is absolutely just fine. Only let me down once with a blocked carb that cleared with a spray of carb cleaner. Not at all bad!!!!!!

Not bad for the money
I’ll start the review explaining I have 18 years of greenkeeping experience so I’m not a casual/DIY user. I needed a decent blower for hotel car park and gardens and this was way cheaper than the usual STIHL backpack I was used to so did not have much faith but it wasn’t my budget so I took a chance. It fits together pretty well, everything needed is included in the box, mixing bottle, spanner, clips etc. Power wise it’s not as strong as a stihl but still moves a decent amount of air. It’s not massively heavy and fairly comfortable to carry for 2-3 hours. Vibration is not that bad if you’re used to other backpacks. fuel tank is not massive so refills every hour are required if using hard throttle. Starts fairly easily and done around 30 hours of running so far and no real complaints.brilliant value for money. End of the year, over 200 hours use and still going strong. Only niggles are the fuel tank has a slight leak from somewhere and tbe tubes needed some duck tape after a few months…still mightily impressed.
