Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art Sony E Mount 578965

A fantastic lens at a good price. It seems expensive, but coming from the 28-70mm kit lens the difference is night and day. The Sigma is razor sharp even wide open and gives a lovely image in camera. The constant 2.8 aperture is lovely, and some nice bokeh at all focal lengths. It is a heavy lens, so have that in mind if you intend on sticking it on a gimbal. It’s not impossible, but changing the focal length extends the barrel and will throw off your balancing. All around great lens. I don’t regret not getting the GM even a little bit. Well worth it. An additional note: I bought this Used. The description was Like New, and I’m fairly sure it actually is brand new just with some damage to the box. Great bargain, so keep and eye out for the same.

This is a proper workhorse lens. The 24-70 focal range is perfect for a lot of subjects: portraits, landscapes, cars, street photography, etc. The constant f2.8 aperture is nice, especially if you need it in low light and you don't have a prime with you. It's hardly left my A7R ii since I bought it.

Super crisp Sigma 24-70 f2.8 dg dn Art lens. Good price and I can confirm that Sigma will honour the 3 year extended warranty. Took me a while to figure out that the 6 digits on the end of the barcode needed for registration had been covered with another sticker, presumably from the seller (amazon), but I could just read it through the paper.

Exceptional quality for its price point. No need for a lengthy review here, its all been said and well documented. For someone wondering if it still represents top quality in late 2023, I say 'yes' don't hesitate buy it!

Would be 5 star but the lens has a small issue with dust getting in. Doesn't effect the quality of your photo just annoying. Other than that it's a superb lens

I purchased this from Amazon warehouse. Practically came brand new. Did not look used at all. This lens is absolutely amazing. Paid with Sony A7iii it is outstanding for video and photography. Ability to capture so much with ansingle lens.

I am an amateur photographer who takes a lot of portraits for friends and family and does an occasional paid shoot. I currently am building my lens collection. To be honest, when I want top quality portraits I usually go with my 85 mm prime lens. However, when I am out and about with my family and want to capture good candid shots, or am taking photos for my school (I am a teacher by profession), I use this lens. The photo quality is very sharp, the color is great. I am very happy with the functionality of this zoom lens. I would not hesitate recommending this lens for those who are on a bit of a budget over the competition. My experience with this lens has made seriously consider the Sigma 70-200 mm 2.8 Sport as a budget alternative to the Sony's version II of the same lens.

Uso questo obiettivo ormai da un po’ di tempo, principalmente durante i miei viaggi, e posso dire che è diventato la mia ottica tuttofare di riferimento. La resa è semplicemente impeccabile: colori, nitidezza e contrasto sono a livelli davvero alti, come ci si aspetta dalla linea Art di Sigma. La definizione è perfetta su tutto il range focale, anche a tutta apertura. Il diaframma f/2.8 fisso è un grande vantaggio: aiuta tantissimo a mantenere ISO bassi anche in condizioni di luce difficile, e lo sfocato è molto piacevole, cremoso, quasi "cinematografico". L’unico vero "contro" è il peso: durante giornate intere a camminare con la fotocamera al collo, capita di pentirmi un po’ di non aver optato per qualcosa di più leggero. Ma poi, quando torno a casa e apro i file sul computer, capisco subito che ne è valsa la pena. Un obiettivo che consiglio a chi cerca una qualità professionale e può accettare un po’ di peso in cambio di risultati eccezionali.
