Listen, this is by far the best smoked paprika I’ve found, period. It’s a cute little authentic jar of heaven! A little goes along way. The smell is heavenly and taste is definitely distinctive and awesome! The only con I have is that the top is hard to open. I usually use a sharp knife to pop it out.

This is the best smoked paprika I have ever used! I am a foodie/cook and enjoy using smoked paprika. I first discovered this product at a store while traveling in Toronto. It quickly became my favorite smoked paprika! I have since purchased it two more times on Amazon as I use it a lot! Authentic and delicious!!

Delicious and smoky!

This is a softly-smoky flavor enhancer that holds up well in storage. It has incredible color. I had never used much paprika until trying Chiquilin smoked. I hesitated to purchase, thinking I would never be able to use that much, but I’m glad I did. It is a surprisingly versatile spice and opening my mind to a trial and error process has taught me a lot about that. The can seals tightly. Pretty in the kitchen.

These are a great value and very tasty. I appreciate having two tins so the product does not get old while you try to use up one giant one. It is a bit milder than the smoked paprika from the grocery store. The one thing I miss is a shaker top. They have a very attractive tin with a lid that needs to be pried off with a knife but it’s not difficult. I may put some into an empty spice container that has a shaker top.

I can’t really detect much of a smell, but I have only used it once (and likely not well, as I used it on a pizza). TASTE - I really have no comparison being new to smoked paprika, and as I stated above, I likely didn’t use it well in the dish I cooked. I do plan to use it in future dishes so will see how I feel afterwards. At this point, I’m kind of ‘meh’ about it as a spice, but I look forward to trying it on a more appropriate dish like Fish, BBQ Jackfruit, etc.. I did a spot tongue test, and felt it tasted woody, and dry, but that’s all I can say about it at the moment. As I stated above, considering the cost, it’s worth it in my opinion to give it a try, especially compared to other options on Amazon (price+qty, not a huge loss if You don’t like it, and a great buy if you do.) I have tried several different types of smoked paprika, and this is the first one that does NOT add an after bite or after taste to the foods I use it in. I use it in some of my sausages that I make for color and a slight smoky flavor. This is also an excellent choice for Chicken Paprikash and a little goes a long way. One thing to be noted is that like almost all paprika, this will lose some of it's potency once it is opened. I got this and used it on May 7, 2019 and then have used it a couple of times since, and it is starting to lose it's strength. However, as with ANY spice or seasoning, this is to be expected. It comes in a nicely decorated tin, which will seal tight with minimal pressure. The tin does require the use of a spoon to open it. I would not recommend a butter knife since you could bend it. In the photos above, the smoked paprika is on the right. It has a darker color then regular paprika which is on the left. It is also denser then regular paprika. Great item and a great value for the amount you get, versus store bought. If you need a good smoked paprika, this is one to try.
