This is what you're looking for!
After hours of searching for the right thing I finally decided to go with these. There were some other options for this category, but the reviews on these other options did not seem real or convincing. I found the reviews for these speakers to be very helpful and I believe there even was someone who said that "these are what you're looking for", and I wholeheartedly agree. My original quest was to get some good-quality Bluetooth speakers for our outside deck and hang them on the exterior wall. These can do that. I haven't actually hung them up yet, as I have been testing them out in different scenarios, but they're fully capable of being hung up. They each have a place to plug in a power cord for charging or use, but the batteries last very long, so most of the time you can go without the cords at all. Pros: Sound quality - very good, plenty loud, clear enough sound quality for the outdoors Battery life - phenomenal, these lasted at least 5 nights out on the deck for several hours each time. I would guess 12 hours of battery life Build quality - while I've only had these for a month or so, they feel and look well built. Power switches and cable plug-ins are sealed with clear rubber housings. There was a lot of thought put into them. Range - I'd say 30 or 40 feet from my phone before they started to cut out. The speakers can be about the same length away from each other as well. That's pretty good for most purposes. Meh: Ease of connectivity - Could be better, but it's not bad. The NFC feature doesn't always work for me, but it is cool when it does. Regular Bluetooth connectivity works as a fallback. There are voice prompts from the speakers to let you know if things are connecting. Cons: Stereo sound - I don't think you're actually getting it, even with two speakers, but for what these are for, you probably won't miss it. I don't. Price - most items in this category are pricey and these are no exception So far I've used them around the porch or while working outside and have been extremely happy with them. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

Outstanding Outdoor Speakers
After trying out and returning OSD Audio BTP525 5.25โ Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Bluetooth I decided to try my luck with these with much hesitation and i'm glad I did. After 30 days of use i'm pretty happy with with them. They are great for putting on a deck to listen to music and portable to take anywhere, the speakers connect to together to form one speaker that gives 360 degree sound at the beach or a pool. Initially, this wasn't a criteria for me but it turned out to be a handy feature listening to music at the pool. The problem that I ran into with other speakers is that they are waterproof however, the power converter (brick) they use is not waterproof and if your deck is not enclosed you will need to protect the power converter. Thankfully, Monster doesn't have power converter but a straight power connection that you can plug to an extension cord. For now i have them hanging on the deck not wired to power and I take off for the night. At some point, I'll run an extension cord to each speaker. The speakers put out decent sounds quality, the bass though is pretty weak. I tested the bass using a band called bass 305, their CD title digital bass (my go to choice for testing bass on speakers). It sounds pretty good on rock, acoustics and other genres. Being in a condo I don't want to crank them up too loud to piss off the neighbor but I can hear them 30 feet away if I step out into the yard. What's not to like about them? I can't think of anything so far. Battery life is decent, i get about 7-8 hours before recharging. i'm assuming the batteries are lithium and will probably need to replace the speakers after two years unless you wire them to power. For those that have an open deck that might run the risk of exposure of the elements, you might want to look at these speakers.

OK sound, but bad customer support and essentially no warranty.
I purchased these speakers in July 2016 and use them for 45 minutes at a time at the hot tub, outdoors. They work well and initially held a charge for several weeks, using them every 2-3 days. The sound is ok, but not great. Where's the bass? The convenience of blue tooth and the EZ Play technology is GREAT !! Fast forward 5 months and now the receiving speaker will not hold a charge. I'm thinking "no big deal, bad battery and the warranty should cover it". A quick call to customer support and I find out that the speaker does come with a 1 year PARTS ONLY warranty and shipping must be paid by the customer both ways and labor of $25 must be paid in order to get a manufacturer defect repaired. Why bother saying that you have any warranty at all? Next time I'll just hard wire speakers in order to get some bass and better volume. Bottom line, I would not buy again.

Customer service sucks, battery life is just as bad.
The only reason why i'm giving this product 1 star is because their customer service SUCKS! I purchased these speakers back in January, and even though the sound quality is great the battery power is horrible. I have to keep them plugged in all the time because the battery will only last a couple of hours. That defeats the whole wireless feature. I've trained the battery, I did all that was specified in their manuals and I did all the research I could to try and fix the issue without having to get involved with customer service. I couldn't fix the issue, so I contacted their customer service multiple times, here on amazon, on their website, and on twitter, and no one has acknowledge my messages. NO GOOD!!!

Update.. 3 of 4 failed, but Monster's is working with me to repair!!!
I absolutely love these speakers. I have three pair of these. Two pair on our porch, and another pair inside the house. They are all paired together. When I'm out on our back deck, or have a fire in our fire pit, I'll take the inside speakers outside. I can drive them with my phone, or with my Amazon Echo. I've run them on their rechargeable battery in the yard for as long as 4-5 hours and they hold up. The sound is very good, not fabulous like a high end stereo, but I don't expect that from them, nor is it what I'm using them for. I have had a lot of compliments on them. I have them on as background music anytime I'm working in or outside of the house. They can be a bit tricky to get them all linked together at first, but once you do they stay linked, even after they go to sleep and wake back up. They seem to link fine as long as there is a good line of sight, or if it's through a door or way, if they are within about 20 feet of each other. With line of sight I've put them up to about 50 feet apart with no problem. So why only 3 stars? Well one of the four speakers started to drop out after about 6 months, and seemed to no matter where I put it. Soon it wouldn't play at all. I did a little troubleshooting and found that it works fine if I connect to it as a Bluetooth speaker, but it won't connect through the EZ Play. The Orange LED does light indicating that it's linked, but no audio. Also, I tried making it the master Bluetooth speaker, and it looks like it connects to the others as the Orange LED's all come on, but no audio transfer. Update # 2. It's now been just over a year and a second speaker has failed in the same way. Links via EZ Play but no audio. Works through Bluetooth. I have contacted the manufacturer, but have received no response from them. I was about to purchase two more sets to have the full eight speakers that it supports, but due to lack of response from the manufacturer, I'm going to hold off and look for an alternate. Unfortunately, as much as I like these when working, I can no longer recommend them. And that hurts to say. Update # 3. Now a third speaker has failed the same way. You can link via bluetooth, but they will not link together via EZ Play. I have now discovered that the EZ Play link light comes on immediately, even if no other speakers are turned on. I finally reached their technical support people (duh.. phone number is on the back of the speaker!). It took some time, but they were responsive and took care of the problem. All four are working again and sound great. The two pair that failed were sequential serial numbers so hopefully it was just a bad run of the wifi cards. So not 5 stars because of the problem, but 4 stars because when working, I love the speakers

Great, totally wireless, stereo sound!
I bought these speakers for outdoor use in my back yard so I could chill by the pool and listen to tunes. I found these and decided to give them a shot. I've loved them so far! Once I ordered, the speakers took about a week to arrive. Not quite normal prime speeds, but still free so I was happy enough. Once they arrived, the speakers look well made, and well deisigned. They can either clip together to make a giant omni-directional speaker or break apart in to 2 speakers. Box comes with a mounting kit so it's easy to put these speakers up wherever you want! You need a 5mm (or 13/64 in) drill bit to install. Once I finally got the speakers mounted and ready to play I was really impressed. Pairing with a bluetooth device is as easy as touching you device to the top of the primary transmit speaker (labeled speaker A...as long as your device is NFC capable. Otherwise you can do normal bluetooth pairing steps). Once the device is paired you can pair you other speaker to the first speaker for stereo sound (The two channels are different, so you get true stereo sound). The box comes with 2 cables to charge each speaker, but the internal battery works for an advertised 5 hours at full volume (still haven't tested out battery life), so it's easy to run totally wirelessly which in my book is a huge plus. I think the sound is very good, but I'm no audiophile. Overall I'm very happy so far!

Happy with Purchase
After allot of research, I purchased these about a month ago. Very solidly made and the sound quality is great. Because these are omni-directional, they really fill out our outdoor space. Connecting to Bluetooth was easy and it stays connected between powering on and off. We've had several people out on our patio who have commented on the sound quality. The lows are good and the treble is crisp. Some reviews have remarked about their disappointment in the sound, but what might be at issue for them is the fact that when you connect via Bluetooth, sometimes the audio gets compressed. That would be true for any wireless Bluetooth device however. From what I am experiencing, both Bluetooth quality and hard wired quality are very good, and this comes from a former sound engineer. I am extremely happy with the value of my purchase.

Nice sound, but failed after one year. Again one year later
I like these speakers. Easy to use with my BT tablet. But the EZPlay link function failed after one year. Repair costs $27 for postage, plus $25 for labor. They did not charge for parts, as I was so close to the warranty. Thus the repair costs could have been higher. Not good enough for $160 speakers. One year later, they have failed again. Last time, I paid $52. This time would be more, but I ain't putting any more money into this. I'll stick with my headset and smart phone. Would not buy again.

Amazing speakers
I bought these speakers as a result of reading other Amazon reviews, and I have not been disappointed. They charge quickly, hold the charge for quite a while and sound fantastic as a stereo pair. They are easy to set up and pair with an iPhone, I couldn't be happier!!
