Nice Product... When it's All There
TO THE PERSON WHO KEEPS TAKING THE CHAINS AND RETURNING THE BAR I HATE YOU I had to order this 3 TIMES before I got both the bar and chain. There was a ripped chain package thrown in the box and nobody cared to check it. Amazon would not just send me a chain so I had to keep returning until they sent me both. The product is great, though. Fits a Husqvarna 455 Rancher and is better than the stock bar/chain.

Is the bar square? Do you want to cut straight? If not square it up on bench sander.
These fit my Husqvarna saw perfectly. But it's likely not square. At least that is my experience. Even the new bars I've bought were not square. To cut straight the edges must be square. The most available device for squaring the bar is just junk. I guess they crank them out so fast and then throw em' in the bin (from 20 feet away?). I've abandoned all chain sharpening fixtures too. They are all crap (in my humble opinion). For best chain sharpening and bar dressing videos see Buckin' Billy. Use a larger diameter file than specified if you want to quickly get a sharpened gullet and top. The recommended diameters just don't get it done.

Refer to title..because I didn't end up with the right bar which was my fault. I was informed that if I attempted to mount it on the saw, which I did, that I could not return it. The chain was right however and cuts nicely. Do yourself a favor and visit the Oregon site to find the right bar for your application. **does not fit a 562XP**

Good alternative
This is not the first Oregon bar and chain I have used. For the cost savings the fitment is excellent and the chains hold up well. Would recommend for the budget minded person who wants good quality.

Better than original
Good quality, feels well made, no issues using it. I've been a fan of Oregon bars for a long time. It does feel like it runs better than the original bar.

Got a free saw, but no chain, and a bent bar. Ordered this for a super sale price, and received it quickly. Chain is razor sharp, cut down a 40' Fir 10 mins after putting it on. Sliced like butter. Really easy to replace bar and chain, seems to be well made.
