Works as intended.
I was on the water and saw another boater flying this flag because he was dead in the water. Had he not had one I never would have given him a second look. Ordered this as a second one “just in case”

Very light, pretty cheap, meets USCG requirements.
This is great. Unlike other reviewers (complete scammers) who are reviewing it and admitting they've never used it, I've used it five times and each time the Coast Guard has rescued me. I thought it was odd that they did laugh at me and said "Wow, we've never actually seen anyone use one of those stupid flags we make people carry" though. I also have to admit that the first time I got lost, it took several days for them to find me, but then I realized that a flag needs a flag pole and because the USCG doesn't require a pole (just a flag) I wasn't carrying one. Fortunately I was able to tie it to my paddle as a makeshift pole. Anyway, I highly recommend this flag. It's thin plastic so it weighs next to nothing and you can shove it in the bottom of a bin or something so you can show it to "the man" if he pulls you over (or if you get lost over and over again like me).

Needed this for our boat. Looks good. Have it just-in-case, but hope to never need it!

Great product!
Had to have this on my boat to be water legal! Worked great!

Very flimsy and thin
We got this flag as a safety measure on our new boat as the coast guard auxiliary suggests having one. This is certainly large enough and a very bright color, although it is very thin plastic so we think it was a little pricey for the quality. Hopefully we will never have to use it.

For the price, it is a decent value and meets minimum regulatory requirements. It is NOT constructed of flag material, but thin plastic, like a commercial grade trash bag. Not sure how long or well it would work if it was hoisted up a mast on a sailboat on a windy day, I would not be prepared to rely on it.
