We misplaced our original garage door remote and didn’t think much of it at first since we were using the HomeLink feature in our car. Then we changed cars. Uh-oh. Problem. No remote meant no way to program the new vehicle’s HomeLink. After a bit of searching, we decided on this simple one-button replacement remote—and we’re glad we did. It arrived quickly, was reasonably priced, and setup was straightforward. Programming it to the garage door opener was easy, and once that was done, programming the car’s HomeLink was a breeze. Most importantly, it works perfectly. No fuss, no extra buttons, just does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you need a reliable replacement remote specifically to regain HomeLink functionality (or just a solid backup), this one gets the job done. Two thumbs up.

These work great! Very easy to "sync" to our garage door opener.

It's not a 'genie' brand but works just as well. I was tasked with programming remotes for my aunt's two garage door openers because the batteries went dead on her originals and killed the remotes. She has an older genie and a really old craftsman. This one was bought for the genie. I also tried to do get one of those 'universal' remotes that could program both brands. The only easy part of this process was this genie remote. The instructions were straight forward and WORKED. The only difficulty I had in the genie programming was getting the light cover off the motor and confirming the learn button was in fact when I though it was. Basically two seconds once I could push that learn button and it worked first try. Bonus, it didn't mess with the one remote that was still working from the original. The craftsman motor was a nightmare and made me abandon my attempt to use the universal remote. This little remote however was *chef's kiss* perfect and the instructions were clear and accurate. The one thing I have to say about it...I'm not sure how to change the battery, I can see the compartment, but there is no groove to push back the 'door', so I'm not sure if (when the time comes) I'm supposed to bend it back myself or what?

Working well so far. Range is not great but has been reliable. Longevity remains to be seen. This looks like the original which gave years of service.

These garage door openers worked exactly as needed. Easy to program, several videos on line to help you out.

It took me longer to put up the step ladder than to program this remote. Pressed learn code button on overhead genie and it blinked rapidly then quickly pressed the remote button and the blinking stops on the genie, Then press again and the light goes out, Pess again and garage door opens. So easy. Inexpensive and works fine, I pull into my driveway and click, bingo door goes up, Do not have to be right on top of it either. This replace a lost remote form 2008. Works great,will buy again for back up, and comes with battery installed, just have to program.
