Did the trick!
After replacing the pcm, the throttle body, and a few other pieces, this was the last thing I tried. After one defective one, I got a replacement, and it worked perfectly.

Easy enough to install I didn’t have the wobble tool so it took forever with a wrench, but it’s installed and working.

Unit failed to work properly once the cold weather arrived.
Worked okay for about two weeks. Then I started having to press the pedal about halfway before acceleration would start. So I replaced the throttle body since this was new. Still acting up. Then it started acceleration with out touching the pedal. Burned out my brakes fighting the acceleration to stop. If I put into neutral would surge up to five thousand RPM. I would accelerate without touching the pedal. Finally bought another pedal, replaced and all problem's went away. This product was dangerous for me at least. Don't ignore the other bad reviews like I did. Buy something better.

Poor quality part. Failed within a week!
I can only echo the words of the other reviewers for this part. It failed within a week giving me the same "check engine soon" and "reduced power" lights mentioned before. When checked by service center the same P1271 code turned up at once. I returned this cheap imitation and bought the GM OEM part. Consider yourself warned!
