Neumann microphones have always bend hig-end microphones. I love the sound of this km184 on acoustic instruments especially.

Lives up to its name
Use two in stereo pair for recording guitar, one at neck, one at bridge, about 8-10 inches distance. Processed through NEVE 1024 emulation on UA Apollo preamps, LA2 compression, Dream Verb. Very sweet treatment on Martin D-28. Great vibe in this application.

Small But Mighty!
The clarity and tonal range of this microphone is exceptional. Ideal for recording acoustic guitars and other stringed instruments. So far, I'm really pleased with the performance of my KM 184.
