Remington XR1500 (EU plug version)

These are just excellent. Light weight, durable, and easy to clean and charge (uses a two pin plug). Size is good and easy to pack into a case or back pack. It is so easy to use and achieve a close shave. I can't use a razor on my head so this has saved my a lot of grief and money. Because of the design it is easy to handle and maneuver, give you an effective shave every time. Worth the investment. Allows me the luxury of shaving on a daily basis. Sweet.

Had this for a month now and I cannot fault it. Yes it is not as close as a razor but for a head shaver it's great. I use it roughly every two days and it's quick and easy takes me 5 minutes or so to completely shave my head. Cleaning wise it's simple and easy to do just follow the guidelines and you will have no issues. Battery life I get about two weeks of usage out of it which is fine. Its great to not need razors no more and for me the price is no issue compared to the more expensive ones I would take this, as I did research them all before getting this one and looking at reviews and performance for me this was a no brainer. Cannot comment on replacable blades for it but for now great little shaver! UPDATE So after having this about two months it stopped working. I noticed a clicking sound and had to plug it in to the charger to get it to work again. The main middle blade it turns out needs to be cleaned more thoroughly than you think. The blade cathes and stores hair in it and I had to get a needle to push and force the stuck hair out if the middle blade. Once done it worked fine so maybe worth noting to try this if it stops initially as seems to work.

This is a good product and it does a good job of giving a close shave. Had it for a 2 months now and been using it everyday. To get the best shave you will need to go over your head a few times and different angles and different ways so it can get all the hair. It is very light and easy in hand. I am happy with this product. There are few bad points about this, you cannot power it up with the cable and use it at the same time. It will have to be charged then you can use it. Over the last 2 months I have seen the battery deplete a lot more quickly. It was 50 min before but now it dropped down to 30 min. If you shave your head everyday it will need to be charged everyday. The power adapter is a europen plug. Even though you are buying from UK marker it still has European plug, meaning it will need a converter. But overall for the price and the quality it is great, does the job and very easy to clean. There is a update to this as well a little more expensive, has 2 modes but does the same Job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cheap one compare to the skull crush ones. I gave 4 because of the flows mentioned. Otherwise a goof product.

With my hair starting to recede throughout 2020-2022 I gradually went from a number 2 clipper all over to a no guard. I never felt the no guard was quite close enough and started to look a bit scruffy after a day or two. I started to wet shave my head with a razor but found this to be a bit of a faff, messy and took around 10-15 mins every few days to keep on top of it. I purchased the Remington RX5 in early September 2022. It came with some charge out of the box that lasted for about a week with it being used every 2 days. After charging fully, it lasted for around 7-8 cuts before requiring another charge. I absolutely love this product. It takes less than 5 minutes to do a full head shave and clean the product. It manages to get a nice trim around the ears and visually looks as close as a wet shave in my opinion. To touch, there is a small amount of stubble. However cutting every 2 days gives a consistent, easy, quick shave that maintains a clean look. I also suffer no irritation from this product, whereas I was suffering from some razor rash to the back of my head from a wet shave. Definitely recommend this product!

Got this today and used it for the first time, and it's the best head shaver I've ever used. I have had three different Chinese made head shavers and they have all let me down, two cheap ones bought here on Amazon and an expensive one direct from the manufacturer, these shavers have all stopped working within three shaves, just junk. This Remington RX5 was double the price of the cheaper shavers I have had but just half the price of a big named brand and out performs them all by a country mile. It runs quietly, trims close and fast, feels of excellent quality and is so easy to clean, I have taken to it right away. The look and feel of the shaver is top notch and the zipped pouch is very handy. The only downside is it only comes with a European plug but I have ordered a USB charging lead which will be here tomorrow at the cost of just over a fiver. When looking to buy what is my fourth head shaver I looked on Google for reviews and they are deceptively misleading. When searching all that was coming up was top 5 or top 10 listing's for the best head shavers and they all seemed to be staged to get you to buy a specific shaver, none of the lists had a concensus among 5 or so brands, all items were different across all the lists. Luckily I came across a Mens Health Magazine review which seemed to be unbiased and the Remington RX5 topped it and was highly recommended, as this source seemed trustworthy I bought this item and it's perfect for my needs, no more junk. Very poor. No matter how many times I go over my head I can't get a smooth result and have to use my t-blade. Just to make matters worse it's just given out. It didn't even last a year. I won't buy Remington again, absolutely shocking quality.

I've had the Remington RX5 for a few weeks and it seems to have done amazing head shaves . First started shaving my bald head with a cheaper less known brand , unfortunately the blades wore down to early ! For the RX5 its small fits in the palm of your hand , quite a basic and easy to operate , yet powerful device with 5 sharp cutting heads ! I couldn't believe the speedy result , and the close shave to my head in just a couple of minutes. Easy to clean and waterproof. I have used my shaver dry . This seems to be a superb shaver, ( time will tell how the blades wear) So basic and easy to use. With a convenient charger that can be used in a standard bathroom shaver socket or with a general adapter, a charge that lasts for around an hour, and a smart carry case for easy travel. Using dry shaves I usually use body lotion and after shave as a lubricant , to prevent a rash. it seems as if the Remington brand name has lived up to its reputation and as a mid range product in shavers, an Amazon choice definitely worth 5 stars.

I was sick of spending a fortune getting my hair cut and decided to go full-send for the summer months and give one of these a try as a mess-free, easy-use alternative to using a razor! Initial impressions were good, great close shave (not as close as a razor but not far off) and only takes a few mins with a day or two of growth to get through. Easy to use, to clean, ergonomic, doesn’t leave my skin red or sore (this will differ from person to person obviously!) and the only criticism I have is that the battery life isn’t as good as advertised, but then that said, I tend to take my time with it and it doesn’t take long to charge up again! If you’re thinking about one of these, I’d suggest pulling the trigger and going for it, the ease and convenience alone is totally worth it!! I’m a few months into ownership now and I’ve waited to post this review, but I’d gladly buy again based on my experience thus far!

Liked that it fit nicely in the palm of my hand and the 5 rotor heads adjusted nicely to the curvature of my head.

Wow it really does the job. Easy to handle, ergonomically designed. Only thing is, if you have long hairs I e more than 1 cm you can't directly shave the using this coz it may hurts you. Better to use trimmer first and then shave it with this it really worked well. Highly satisfied with shaving results /output.
