I had my doubts, considering the low cost. I've used inexpensive after market carburetors on small engines before with mixed results. If you look at the throttle plate in a carburetor like this, compared to an OEM, the fit is pretty sloppy, with visible air gaps around it. The good news is that really doesn't matter on a lawn mower because you aren't running it at a low idle. So I found this carb fit perfectly, and ran fine. They were thoughtful enough to send two gaskets, which are often needed to seal the plastic plate properly. The priming bulb worked well also. In fact, everything included worked well. An awful lot of thought goes into a kit like this. It includes every little thing that you might need. That speaks well for the manufacturer/supplier. Five stars plus.

Fixed my tiller right up, and no tuning needed.

Eventually got this to work, with old parts. What should have been a simple 10 minute carb swap turned out to be a diagnostic challenge. The including filter plate with primer bulb was not made correctly and blocked the primer bulb path. This kept the engine from being able to prime and possibly affected it running. Eventually got it all working right with the original (broken) filter plate. The old primer bulb worked fortunately. May eventually try to swap primer bulbs, but a very frustrating experience.

2006 6.5 hp Craftsman 21" Mulcher mower. Mower was starting and would die right away. I took the carb apart and noticed the float was setting at about a 45 degree angle and would not open the needle and seat. I bought this new carburetor opened the bowl to check the float and is was working correctly where the float would set level and the needle and seat functioned properly. Put this carb on and the machine runs like a beast now. better than it has since first buying the mower. There are several of these carbs on amazon, I chose this one because it had exact dimensions in the description so I was able to measure and complete before I completed the purchase. This came with gaskets, spark plug, air filter and filter case with pump button and hose. Very easy to replace. I am happy with this purchase and would buy again.

Easy install, everything fit perfect and bolted right in. Mower started on first pull and runs great.

Horrible product do not buy. First the air filter housing for the primer. Does not prime! I had to stick a needle through the hole just to get it to pump air. Still did not prime. Switched back to the old one and it primes now. The carburetor is no good as well! The mower just surges like crazy. Took an old carburetor off of a different running mower. (I buy and sell lawn mowers), bam starts up and runs great. Do not buy this cheap aftermarket stuff. It does not work! Buy OEM!
