These are the best writing practice boards I have ever seen! Excellent quality! My 3 year old and 5 year old can't put them down. There is a number and an alphabet one. The magnetic pen pulls up the silver balls as they trace the numbers or letters. It is so tactile and fun! They can feel the number or letter as they write it with directions as to the correct way to write. Then they can retrace the number or letter with their finger to press the magnetic balls back down and its ready to reuse! I have donated some to our preschool and kindergarten classes.

Great learning tool. Not only to become more familiar with numbers and letters but how to write them as well . I cam also say that it is also good for individuals who are visually impaired . You can trace the letters with your finger and with the magnetic pen. I think this is a great tool and every parent of young children should get this

I like the concept, but some of the magnetic balls stopped "respponding" to the "pencil" during the first day of use in my classroom. My students really like the activity.

Love that you can get this in a set with numbers and letters. My twin toddler boys (3) and even my daughter (1) love these toys. Seems to be easy for all of them to use. They find the magnetic pen fascinating and get lost in matching the magnetic balls into each hole. I have a hard time finding toys that my kids all love but this one is great. They find it fun and It’s great for passing time quietly. It’s a quality product that I know will last. I do wish that the alphabet one was a little smaller in size to be easier to carry around but I also like the size of the letters so the kids can actually practice writing their letters and numbers. If it was any smaller I know it would compromise practicing their lettering skills. Definitely a product I would recommend. I know we can use it for years to come as they get older.

The color on this is great for young children. There is a natural fascination with how the beads come to the board surface and then the wonderful feel of them for my sensory seeking students. Add to it the satisfaction of pressing each bead back again. It is really a wonderful way to have students double trace a number willingly! As a special educator writing anything is no fun for many of my students, and this toy has them doing what they don't typically want to do. Highly recommend for those emerging writers ages 3-5.

Pretty cool but it does not move smoothly

I have given this five stars because I love the quality of this toy and the functionality of it. It performs exactly as intended with magnet strength that lasts and ease of use for little ones. My younger child enjoys just watching the magnets come to the surface while my older child actually understands that they are letters. It is a great way to practice letters without wasting paper and it makes the act of writing feel more like a game. Plus I always feel like its a winner when we find an educational toy that doesn't take batteries and doesn't make noise. When we are done playing with it, we store it on the bookcase or with the board games, which means it doesn't end up in a pile in the play room with all the blocks and magnet tiles.

Great gift idea

My toddler loves this magnetic letter board! It's fun, mess-free, and a great way to learn both uppercase and lowercase letters. The tracing pen is easy to use and keeps my child engaged. Perfect for early learning!

Only downfall is some of the magnetic beads get stuck otherwise, great idea to practice letter writing.
