EZGoal 67109 Monster Steel Tube Heavy-Duty Official Regulation Folding Metal Hockey Goal Net, 6 x 4 - Feet, Red

I purchased this for my grandson that plays hockey. I looked at ones for sale in the hockey shops around here and this was way more economical and seemed to be sturdier. It took a little to put it together but I will say it is a very sturdy goal net. It has targets to practice with in the net area. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Heavy duty, well built, easy to assemble, and otherwise awesome. I love this net. It took me about 15 minutes to get the frame together without and tools other than the included allen key for the bolts at the bottom posts where the lower part folds. Otherwise, all the other joints click together with spring-loaded buttons that fit into pre-drilled holes. Stringing the net took about an hour, but was straightforward and easy. The instructions aren't super specific, but I'd done this before and knew that the most important thing is to string once per hole in the perimeter of the net. The welded metal lacing bar doesn't line up perfectly with each net hole, so some of the metal holes get strung twice, and some get strung only once. You just have to make sure you aren't bunching the net up, and you're keeping the lacing string taught. Piece of cake with a bit of patience. Depending on what you're shooting and how hard the shot is, realize that the posts can dent. It holds up perfectly to street hockey balls, but I almost immediately made a very small dent with a direct hit to the back vertical bar with a roller hockey puck. I'm an adult with an 80mph slap shot, for what it's worth. I don't think shooting real ice pucks at that speed would be a great idea, but for casual shooting or shinny, this goal is just fine.

Great net. Easy to put together. Lacing the net is really not as bad as some other reviewers make it out to be. You won't need much patience to get it done. The metal tubing frame feels heavy duty. I spent a lot of time looking for a net. I decided on this one because it folds up. It's an awesome feature that makes my life easier. It functions well. It's got good weight to it as well. Plus it looks just like an NHL regulation net. Imo this is as close as you're going to get to a street net that's similar in quality to an ice hockey net. Just buy it. It's worth it.

It was decently easy to assemble. The most time consuming part is stringing the net, take your time and do it right. Overall it’s better than PVC because you can shoot real pucks at it. Netting hasn’t let a shot through. I will say the welding is not good. Weak welds and missing welds (holes) in multiple spots. That has led me to opt not to leave it outside where rain water would rust it out quickly. The posts dent to a good amount of my shots. It’s not a huge deal as of now and I understand the balance between durability of the posts vs shaving off weight. I got the corner nets as well and they are of a lesser quality. Come loose quickly and I’ve broken some string with shots. I’d probably buy again but be weary of the welding. If I wasn’t lazy/able to fix myself, I’d probably return it for the bad welds.

This a great goal for the price! It did take some time to lace the net through and get it all put together but it just has a much sturdier feel to it than using an type of PVC piping. It's held up well to the weather so far but I do try and bring it in when I'm home and we get any rain. The fact that it folds up and can be moved easily is such a big added bonus! My son and I love it and have enjoyed driveway hockey bonding time!

Great goal option without breaking the bank. The assembly of the goal itself was pretty straightforward but stringing the net was horrible. That would be the case with any goal so it still gets 5 stars from me. All the pieces were there and there’s a nice tight fix to all the components. I haven’t used the folding feature much at all so no opinions on that but as a goal it functions well, stopping pucks and makes a nice sound going bar down. I used it pretty much daily and there are a couple dents but nothing crazy. It seems like a good options for kids or something to mess around with at home.

The product was very nice but I had to return it because it fits a standard rink sized goal whereas my grandson wanted it for his smaller "driveway" goal,

This hockey net is fantastic and my grandson shoots about 100 pucks a day. Very strong and doesn't move with the steel tubes/post.

Item took a few minutes to figure out how to put together but once we figured it our and went fast. Seems to be a very sturdy net system

I was wondering what to do? When assembling the net we received two right sided face up instead of one right and one left , can we get the correct pieces or do we have to send the whole net back ?
