Are men's and women's brains really different? Why are teenagers impulsive and rebellious? And will it soon be possible to link our brains together via the Cloud? Drawing on the latest neuroscience research, this visual guide makes the hidden workings of the human brain simple to understand. How the Brain Works begins with an introduction to the brain's anatomy, showing you how to tell your motor cortex from your mirror neurons. Moving on to function, it explains how the brain works constantly and unnoticed to regulate heartbeat and breathing, and how it collects information to produce the experiences of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The chapters that follow cover memory and learning, consciousness and personality, and emotions and communication. There's also a guide to the brain's disorders, including physical problems, such as tumours and strokes, and psychological and functional disorders, ranging from autism to schizophrenia. Illustrated with bold graphics and step-by-step artworks, and peppered with bite-sized factoids and question-and-answer features, this is the perfect introduction to the fascinating world of the human brain. You Will not understand easily if you are not the Medical Student
Graphics and Facts only. You will not understand how brain is work by reading this book. You need to research on each topic given in this book on internet. Not simplified language used. I think this is for medical student not for who is curious about basic science. Thanks

Knowledge is Power! With guided support recovery is possible.
This title explains how the brain works, especially when it comes to depression and recovery. It compares brain activity to a system running behind the scenes — like how payments process in the background. When something goes wrong in the brain, it can affect emotions just like a glitch affects a transaction. The idea of recovery is like fixing that system so it runs smoothly again. It shows how brain functions can get “out of sync” and what helps get them back on track. The topic is meaningful and well-connected to real-life struggles with mental health. Some of the wording feels a bit long or complex, like a receipt with too much fine print. But overall, it offers helpful insight in an understandable way. It’s a good pick for anyone curious about how the brain supports emotional healing. Think of it as a user-friendly guide to what’s happening “behind the scenes” in your mind.

super bueno para niños o interesados en como funciona el cerebro
me gusto, no pienses encontrar cosas avanzadas o complicadas es para principiantes o niños, no te aburrirás por sus colores, algunos temas son demasiado cortos en explicación, pero bien en general.
