Bondhus 16737 13 PC Stubby Ball End Tip Hex Key L-Wrench Set w/BriteGuard

They seem to be strong and made of quality steel. As much as I hate Harley socket head bolts these seem to do very well. They for sure feel stronger than the cheap Dollar tool store brands. Very short and compact also.

Used this hex set to replace a broken seat belt buckle. The design of the seat made it such that you typically have to remove the entire thing just to replace the buckle. With these stubby hex keys I was able to skip several steps and avoid disconnecting and removing the entire (very heavy) powered seat. I absolutely recommend these if you need to remove a hex bolt with very tight clearance.

The stubby end is nice for getting in tight spots. Great finish and nice range of sizes. One of the keys was slightly bent but not enough to affect is usability.

These are solid, American-made tools. The "BriteGuard" finish makes it easy to distinguish from my metric set and seems to be permanent - it hasn't scratched off yet, though it's only been a few weeks. The holder is a bit of a PITA but I can't fault Bondhus for that; I've never seen a great solution for storing Allen keys. This holder is tough, hard plastic and the slots are very tight. I don't expect I'll lose any keys because they slipped out of the holder. This is a reasonably-priced set of USA-made stubby / ball end hex keys and I highly recommend them. If you're considering these be aware that the price apparently fluctuates quite a bit. I paid ten dollars less than the current (jan 31 2016) price. [edit: Feb 2, 2016 today they're about the same price I paid.]

I am very satisfied with the product. But not with the handling of my order because the seller did not fill out the shipping documents correctly, which made me pay additional customs tax fees upon arrival, even though I had already paid them when ordering on Amazon.

When I need a stubby hex wrench I typically modify a regular long arm hex wrench with a cutoff wheel. I grew weary of a drawer full of hacked up mismatched hex wrenches so I bought this set. The ball end is nice for tight spots and it would even better if the short end was also the ball style but it's not. Nice and brightly colored so when I drop it into an engine compartment or somewhere unreachable in my motorcycles I can actually see and find the wrench. I like the fact these are made in the USA. My one "con" is that the wrench holder does not hold all the wrenches tight. If I hold the set upside down, 2 or 3 of them will fall out. Other than that little flaw, this is a great hex wrench set.

great quality. Another set I had from a different vendor keep failing due to the end of the wrench rounding. This set holds up and allows me to apply a high torque load without failing.

Seems like a good quality product so far. They really come in handy in tight spaces.
