Clean water no soap
I use this sponge when I'm doing stucco work it was the right tool for what I needed in helping make the knock down patten I wanted and when I was done using it I just washed it out with clean water (no soap)

Quality constructed with large, comfortable handle.
Worked like a charm to smooth out the final exterior layer of concrete on my DIY built wood-fired Pizza oven. If I had not had this one float, there is no way the oven exterior would have come out so nicely as it did. Easy to use and has a large handle. Well made.

Foam started to peel away.
Like other stated, not green like picture but that's not the reason for 3 stars. Reason for 3 stars was the sponge started peeling off from the metal it was attached too. A simple fix with some gorilla glue, but that's not the point.

Sponge quickly begins to rip from frame
Works well, but the adhesive that binds the sponge to the handle quickly comes undone. This one is only going to be useful for a small area before I need to replace. I'll pick up from Home Depot or Lowes next time.

This is a quality tool, but unfortunately the sponge layer was much too soft for our rough-edged hand cut porcelain wall tile. We used it twice, but will be discarding it because the sponge layer has disintegrated. We should have researched more thoroughly.
