Magpul MBUS Sight Set GEN 2 Color Flat Dark Earth Front & Rear Included

If you're looking at this sight set then you are most likely already familiar with Magpul and do not need to be told that they make good products. Excellent products, actually. I have not used this set yet (I just installed them tonight), but I have used these before and they are accurate. They present nicely on your rifle both on the physical profile and when looking down range at them. The only turn off for me was installing the front sight. The front was sort of a tight fit, on the firearm they were installed on. That was my experience on my previous set. I thought I was going to have to return them and then did some quick research and learned ways to make the front sight go on. The rear sight went right on. Other than these sights providing an additional functional aspect/tool to my rifle, they just look nice. I say buy them if you need them.

Magpul makes nice stuff !! The sights are easy to mount / easy to use , color match [ F D E ] is great ! Basically the the flip up sight set does the job intended [ back up sights ] Fair price / great service !

I purchased these as accessories for my sons Bushmaster Carbon 15, which is more of an entry-level AR15. And as such, it did not come with fixed iron sites. I did a lot of research before purchase. Based on recommendations and previous experience with Magpul products, we selected these sites. They've been great. The sites come to attention with a snap and feel solid and sturdy. There are two mechanisms to trigger the sights: By pressing the "button" on top, or pressing the lever on either side. This is very convenient because it accommodates either hand or position that you may be in. After co-whitnessing the sites we've since put through approx. 400 rounds through the rifle with no issues or concerns. I'd highly recommend these sites, specifically, and Magpul, in general.

I added the Magpul MBUS Gen 2 sight set (Flat Dark Earth) to my AR‑15 setup as backup iron sights, and overall I’m really happy with them. These sights are lightweight yet durable, with a spring‑loaded flip‑up mechanism that makes deploying and stowing them quick and easy when I need to switch between optics or go iron‑sight only.

The only thing I wish was that these had tritium inserts, or at least one for the front post. If anyone knows of any conversion for these particular sights, please let me know. I actually get better actually with these sights at 50 meters than I do with the scope I purchased (3-9 zoom, on the highest zoom level). These are accurate when you set them and compact down very nicely. Remember to mount them as far forward and as far back as possible on your rifle. Also, as stated, these will not work on a GAS BLOCK. I have a gas block with a rail on the front of my AR15, so I just mounted the front sight on the top main rail at the very front. Still very accurate. The flat dark earth color provides a nice contrast against my black rifle, but as I said before... I'd love a tritium insert. Despite that, I'm still giving it 5 stars. Other companies manufacture similar sights with tritium inserts (I'm looking at you, Diamondhead), but they are usually metal (a lot heavier) and a lot more expensive. The polymer compound these are made of is very resilient. There are two options for putting these sights into play... there is a small side piece you can pull down, or you can just press down on the top -- either way they flip right to attention. Takes about two seconds to deploy both. They should also work well in conjunction with Eotech or any other higher grade red dot/magnifier combination. Some people consider these backup sights, but right now I'm using them as my main and I have no qualms or regrets on this purchase.

I purchased these sights for my AR15 pistol strictly as backups for my Aimpoint P R O red dot. They were price pointed below most others. The quality is typical of Magpul, meaning well designed and functional. They co-witness perfectly with the Aimpoint when deployed. I would have given them a 5 Star across the board rating, but of course being plastic I deducted 1 star for durability. These have been a nice addition to my PDW. If you’re looking for backups then you won’t go wrong with these.

Love the FDE finish on these that compliment my all black AR and match my all FDE .22 AR. Never had any real bad experiences with these sights. Tend to hit right on point once sighted in. Curious how well they hold zero after lots of movement/time. So far they have been the best value for me to just get trust worthy sights on a rifle without breaking the bank.
