Class Act: A Graphic Novel Review: Great read - My son loves this Review: Great for young readers - I'm always buying books. It's hard to find ones that my middle school age son enjoys reading. This one hit the mark. I think he really enjoyed the comic book style and the story. This is one book of three and we've now purchased and read all of them. If you're here in the comments it means you're considering purchasing this book. I'm here to tell you that it's a great buy and you should do it.

Soo good... fun, funny, lessons
This is base on friendships and how each kid lives are completely different with some things I'm common. We mostly get Drew's pov and his ups and downs. . This is a funny story but in a way that's teaching lessons .

A Fantastic book for 10 and up.
A wonderful graphic novel showing the power of kindness, empathy & compassion. The art is amazing & the characters are relatable. Purchased this after we enjoyed the first book, “New Kid” & this book did not disappoint. Don’t believe those that label this book as “CRT” or as anti-white. It is neither of those. It’s a wholesome & relatable story that shows how powerful empathy & unity are - valuable traits for any young person to develop.

Phenomenal story - Shows real societal issues that kids can understand
For context, I’m a fifth grade teacher and bought this book as a read aloud for my class. Each chapter in the book focuses in on something that sparked deep class wide conversations where the kids had to think about the situation presented, apply it to their own lives and realize they’ve been there before. I can’t recommend this book enough and can’t wait for another part!

Great follow up to New Kid
This is the follow up book to Craft's "New Kid". This story centers around Drew, whose Grandmother has always told him that he will have to work "twice as hard to be half as good". He goes to the privledged school of Riverdale Academy, but he isn't privledged himself. He attends the academy on an academic scholarship and isn't sure how he fits in among his peers. He is invited to his friend Liam's house for the day and finds out how wealthy his friend really is. This puts a strain on their friendship and their mutual friend Jordan tries to figure out a way to bring them back together. My daughter and I have been really enjoying reading this middle grade graphic novels together. We enjoyed "New Kids" quite a bit, so when we discovered this book on an outing the other day, we had to have it. IT was just as good as Craft's first novel. It has a nice message, some good humor, and some good talking points. I hope he continues to write more, because we are now fans. Check it out.

My son loved it
I asked my 10 year old son how many stars this book should have, knowing that he usually sticks around 3-4, but without hesitation he gave this book 5 stars. He said he liked the graphic novel format and that it talks about “real stuff” like being treated differently and other social problems. He zipped through this book and the sequel.

Great book
This is a great, well written and illustrated book. Absolutely got my 8 year old hooked on graphic novels and the author. We even wrote an email to the author telling him how much we loved the book and he wrote back a very nice email! Love it!
