Exactly as described

It's very much as you would expect. Haven't used it a great deal, but when I did it seemed up to the task and well put together. Would be dangerous if you left it lying near a gorilla.

I used it to hammer in the wooden wall at the back of my horse's stable which had come off its brick foundation. Eventually this was successful.

A substantial sledge hammer for the price

As shown in the before picture, you can see I bought this for the sole purpose of removing the random wall in the gardening area and the After picture shows this was completed easily the same evening. I did use a spade for some leverage on some of the buried parts (should really have used a crowbar) however, the job was made a lot quicker and easier with this sledge hammer so I am very pleased with this item. :)

I really didn't want to use this wonderful piece of craftsmanship but it does the job perfect.

I went for this sledge hammer after researching several on amazon. At first I was hesitant how heavy this would be - but was perfect for the job (hitting in steel fence posts) - a good weight, but not too heavy to get a good swing. Well worth the money.
