$29 for a solid stainless tamper? How good could it be? It's awesome. Totally worth the money. It might not be as fancy as some of those $90 tampers, but it looks great and it's totally functional. I replaced a cheap aluminum one I bought on here that claimed 57mm. It still left a large gap around the edges. This one leaves a paper thin gap when I put it in the portafilter. It's very well made, no rough edges, and the bottom has a mirror smooth polish to it.I didn't think getting another tamper would really make much of a difference. But it's VERY clear that it did. I think my old tamper wasn't compressing the coffee around the edges as much, and much of the water was being forced through that area rather than evenly throughout the puck. Since this compresses the coffee much more uniformly than my old tamper, I'm getting way better extraction.

This is great! originally I ordered the wrong size so I sent it to my sister who lives in another state and it fit her espresso machine. I reordered for mine which is a Pavoni and it is so much nicer than the cheap temporary one I was using. It's got a great weight to it - feels so good in your hand-it made such a difference in packing, really love it!

Good weight and does what it is supposed to do. Was worth it to pay more for the heavier weight (compared to aluminum).

This size is just to Silvia's porta filter.and reasonable price.But grip size is too large for my palm.

Perfect match to the La Pavoni espresso machine. The built in tamper is just kind of funny, this one allows you to propperly tamp the grounds and is nearly an exact fit to the Napolitana porta filter!

Great shape, good weight and works well. this all metal body gives a more solid tamp than wood or other plastic composites and has a rubber grip to ensure even pressure can be given. it's simple and maybe not as cool looking as some but works great!

Due to some manufacturing tolerances a 58mm tamper was too large for my Rancilio Silvia 58mm double basket. On the other hand, this 57mm tamper is a perfect fit.

This tamper is a Fantastic weight and is a perfect fit for my Ascaso Arc. And an excellent value as well.
