Great ceiling mounted PTZ
The camera is pretty nice. The web interface might be the best I've used on any security camera. My only complaint is the static IP assigned to the camera from the factory, it really should DHCP to make provisioning easier, but that's probably an upstream thing from Dahua.

Nice Small PTZ
This camera is identical to the Dahua. It is a nice small PTZ camera. You can not mount it on a wall without a bracket. The Smart motion only works if the camera is horizontal.

Beware!
If this camera is at a inaccessible location and I have to reset it through the web interface and it comes up with a static IP address I won't be able to get to it because I can't get to the camera due to the static IP. There's another reason why you need DHCP and not static IP's! in the default programing. Buyer beware, if you buy this and you don't have the standard router set up you will be kicking yourself because you can't access this camera unless you have a 192.168.1 network!! I thought static IP addresses came out out of the 80's

Great camera, perfect seller.
This camera beat all my expectation. Great night vision, great picture day time. Empiretech are very helpful and honest seller, I've already purchased 8 camera from him. Highly recommend.

Restarts and loses focus
Camera works great most of the time, but occasionally goes out of focuses and needs continual adjustment. Also resets/looses connection and then recovers. So it's down for 1-2 minute stretches randomly.

Empiretech has helped me with all my camera needs..
This Loryta SD1A404XB-GNR 4M 4X Starlight IR PTZ is the best mini ptz I've ever used and I have a lot of IP cameras. Great resolution, zoom and focus. The microphone on this thing is also amazing. I have this installed on my front porch and the night vision is Excellent too. With minimal light I can see in color at night. I will be buying from Empiretech again!!

Great value in a small package
Great little PTZ, good audio, image quality excellent. Night vision IR good but not meant for extended range. Have had this installed for 2years in a dusty goat barn with no problems at all. Buy with confidence from Empire Technology.
