can you mill the hub down and weld on square tubing to it? I am making a swing out spare carrier for a Jeep. I don't know if the hub is weldable.

The hub is weldable, why not take a piece of pipe the diameter of the hub and weld it then make the swing out carrier.

what is the inside diameter of the hub? Idea is to put male threads on hub for a coupling.

I don’t understand your putting threads on a hub. The hubs included in the kit match the bearing races. Bearing OD fits the hub ID.

This spindle is a weld in spindle. You must cut the old one out and weld this one in. You must be confident with a welder to make this repair!
