Love the drone. Having trouble with the camera. Doesn't record all the time I think the connector has weekends.

Now I've had this drone for awhile, and the poor thing has taken a beating, but keeps going. My first time flying I lost control of it and went missing for 24 hrs and I found it. The video image is very good! Now here's is something very important when first flying everytime you take out make sure your drone is fully charged and I mean fully. I think what was happening is I'd take it out for 4-6 minutes then fly another day and it was hard to control or I would loose control I think that was because it wasn't fully charged. Where the camera attaches it and the case that holds the camera is very cheap and has broken. Another draw back is the camera only works by being plugged into drone and you can't change any functions of the camera other than 720 or 1080 I do 720 because it has faster rate per frame I think it's 60 at 720 and 30 at 1080. The image is good but you really need to fly it well to get steady image since there is no gimbals I would recommend this

Received my X8G timely as promised.. This is my 3rd Syma as I started with the X5SW and then the X8C and now the X8G. This 8 MP HD camera is far superior then the others with very little jello and nice colored videos. In the headless mode it is a bit sluggish due to the additional weight but for nice videos and photos IMO this one can't be beat for the price. I did purchase a 32GB card as the included 4GB is not enough in my opinion for nice videos and editing. I do think this is for adults in open spaces and not a child's toy as it has lots of power with fast propellers. Buy and enjoy!!

Horrible!!!!! Purchased this for my son for Christmas. Assembled it, charged it overnight and took it out to fly. 4 minutes later it was gone and was never found. We have video of the short flight time where you can hear my son saying "Mom, I cant get it back". He is pretty savvy with this stuff and was maneuvering it correctly but the drone kept going higher and higher. No wind on this day so there is no excuse for this. As first this was funny but then we took off running after it, only to never find it. $150.00 later, my son is without a Christmas present and the remote is listed here on Amazon. My suggestion is to only fly at night and in a big, wide field. Lastly...make sure your controls are working on the remote before taking it up high. This was a costly mistake and 1 star rating is not good enough.

The copter fly very well for the short time I had it. It was a bit tricky to learn to control it, especially with any strong breeze. The problem I ran into was something they claimed the copter was designed to avoid. At one point, a hard landing made it turn upside down in the grass. As I walked over to pick it up and flip it over, the props attempted to turn. This "over-voltage" situation is supposed to have a safeguard to prevent what happened next. One of the four prop motors overheated trying to turn while the blades were blocked by grass and I was greeted with a puff of blue smoke as the motor and the wiring fried. So after less than one battery worth of flying, I had to return it. I will try again.

Fantastic. Handles wonderful. Came on time and ran right out of the box. Followed directions and before you know it you can use the high mode and really fly. Extra note: very durable. Just crashed from at least 60 feet up a tree. Fell a long way. I found it on the ground upside down. I flipped it over and it took right off back to the air. Incredibly tough. A great learning quad before moving up to the big boys.

my first purchase the drone flew out of control and lost it, I repaid another $ 30 if you buy, buy another this perfect fly.
