There are half-dozen or more videos online to show how to replace your original Hyundai hatchback button which is great since there are no instructions that come with this item. However, it is a rather simple process that should NOT take a skilled mechanic to complete. I have a 2012 Veloster, and this was actually not the correct part, as I have a rear camera and the wiring for the button and camera are taped together and use a larger plug. I thought that this might be the case, but saved about $20 by not buying the correct part with the camera attached which I did not need as the camera is fine. With this new part, I simply pushed the round, rubber gasket towards the plug to reserve as much of the thin wiring as possible, then cut and spliced the new button & wiring to the existing wiring after cutting off the old button, using the existing OEM gasket (which was better) and existing plug, which was different due to the camera lens. This new button works great, and as others have said, it is far superior to the OEM button. I am slower than most folks, so it took me about an hour to complete this job which included gathering the correct tools, the additional cutting/splicing, and the clean-up.

My fiancé went to Marshalls and coming back from shopping she felt that the button was not there, someone tried to open the trunk by forcing the button out. I saw this one have a good price and it works and feels like the OEM. Simple and quick to install.

Hatch button deteriorated. This was exactly what I needed for 2013 Veloster Turbo. We have a back-up camera, but in our model the button is independent fr the camera feed. Changing this out took roughly 10 mins. 10mm socket was needed to remove the three bolts to get the hatch switch out

Very easy to install with the help of a youtube video! Fit my veloster well, and is still doing great months later! I will say my only complaint is that its a bit stiffer than the original button the car came with, but that may be a good thing for those who use their trunk more often!

Perfect fit, easy to install. I did need to consult YouTube on how to remove the protective covering in order to access the faulty part but the instructions were easy enough to follow. I finished the job in under 20 minutes.

The original piece on my 2012 Hyundai Veloster broke. Bought this thinking it’s gonna be a cheap knockoff of the OEM part. But the quality is really good. Easy to install and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Used this for my 2013 Hyundai Veloster as a replacement for my broken rubber one. This is way better than factury version that came with the car.

Easy install, the only suggestion I would add is, for the price, include mounting hardware (it was missing on my Tacoma).
