Great Resource for Curious Kids… and Their Parents!
Fantastic book for bright, curious little minds. And helpful for their parents who don’t always have answers to their questions like: “when did the great continental drift begin?” and “for how long were Earth’s continents in the single vast landmass we call Pangaea?”

Best summarized history at your hands
Love this book we read together with my child and she enjoys the pictures. Off course I have to to read it to her since she’s 5 and explain things, when it gets too complicated we just glance through the pictures. I know she will appreciate it when she’s older, i know I like reading through it 😄If you want to see if you like it, you can get it from the library first then (if you like it enough) buy it when the Amazon price drops to $10…that’s what we did!

Really cool book for fact-loving kids
My 9 year old loves facts and history. She sat down and read this for hours upon receiving it as a gift. She still turns to it often and loves to say "I read it in my timelines book" when spouting some random fact.

I love this book I’ve yet to get past page 40 because of how much information is in just one page! I would totally recommend this to anybody it’s for all ages there’s pictures and texts.

Best Gift and/or Coffee Table Book
Ok, I freaking ADORE this book. I have never recommended a book to so many people in my life 😂It’s just such a delight, and I’ve been using it as a base for some self-study in History/Science (just as an outline of where to dig deeper with other sources)....and I think I managed to flag nearly every damn page in the process, because EVERYTHING is so interesting!And I love the creativity with which they designed each timeline spread.The History of Piracy looks like a treasure map, for Mathematics it’s on a chalkboard, for Plagues—it’s plague rats scurrying across some rope. HahaI cannot recommend this book enough.It’s the *perfect* gift for someone with even a whisper of intellectual curiosity.But if you do get it for someone as a gift, I suggest getting another copy for yourself.Or you’ll be envying their prize. 🧐

It is suitable for ages 8 years old and up. The illustrations are beautiful ! It is a well made and heavy book.I had the book for only a month and i noticed the outside of the spine of the book rip this makes me very sad. i hope the binding will stay intact. This book is fragile.

Lovely design. We really love a lot of the DK books. They are always really well done. Great pictures and clean looking. These timeliness are so fun to look at and discuss. For my homeschool kids, we have a good time looking at them at different times. They aren't all super detailed or inclusive but all give a good overview. They are made easy to follow.

What a fantastic book this is. I have a very inquisitive 7yr old granddaughter who is older than her years. She is constantly asking questions about all sorts of things so I wanted to get her books that would last her a few years that will also help her with her school projects and beyond.This book is very informative has lots and lots of colour glossy pictures. The quality of the book construction and pages is second to none, it is thick and heavy so the quality is excellent. This book would make a fantastic gifts for anyone with questions about history or for children who just want to learn. I would definitely recommend this book its great value and great quality.
