closest to Papaya powder
apaya is one of the best meat tenderizers but is cost prohibitive. It's hard to fine a reasonably priced product that has powdered papaya as an ingredient. While not the greatest, for the price this works fairly well. Just be careful NOT to ovcer season as it will taste "salty"

Disappointing - Takes away flavor from other spices
It didn't work for me. Threw it away and bought the seasoned one. Everyone has different tastes; I like my steak savory, this tenderizer doesn't help.
