LEUCHTTURM1917 - Notebook Softcover Medium A5-123 Numbered Pages for Writing and Journaling (Ruled, Sage)

Absolutely love this notebook, this is my second notebook and second size I have tried. The quality is top-notch—smooth paper that doesn’t bleed, sturdy binding, and a soft cover that feels premium but flexible enough to carry everywhere. The numbered pages and built-in index make it perfect for journaling or work notes. It lays flat beautifully, and the overall design feels thoughtful and timeless. Worth every penny for anyone who appreciates good stationery.

I just began that trendy new fad, Bullet Journaling, and this was the first journal I purchased for that purpose. I am extremely pleased with the quality and functionality of this book. Features: * Excellent quality paper with a very smooth, silky feel - little ghosting, no bleeding with the CORRECT pens/markers * Pocket inside back cover, almost as large as the cover itself * Blank index pages in the front of the journal * Pre-numbered pages (120 total, not including the index pages) * Elastic wrap/enclosure & attached bookmark * Soft cover is reasonably durable & flexible * Lies completely flat when opened so writing never feels awkward * Pages subtly perforated On ink & bleeding::: I have been using either Staedtler fineliners or Microliners made for journaling, and there is ZERO bleeding, very faint ghosting, although IF I color in something darkly, using a lot of ink, there is a hint of bleeding. My regular gel pens are fine as well. I also tried out a Faber-Castell brush tip pen and amazingly enough it didn't bleed either! On embellishments::: I have used a lot of washi tape on my pages, and as long as the tape hasn't been attached for too long, it usually removes without ripping the paper at all. I've also used a glue pen to attach little die cuts, and the paper doesn't warp from the moisture at all. According to other journalers, the comparable Moleskine has a slightly less quality paper, and it definitely tends to ghost and bleed more than the Leuchtturm. I don't think there's anything else this good, at least nothing that's remotely close to this price range. My next purchase will be a hardcover Leuchtturm because those come in a variety of fun colors. The medium softcovers are tough to find in anything but black.

This journal is perfect! The cover is quality, unlike other journals which peel. It comes with labels for the cover and spine, so you can title your journal. The table of contents is 3 pages long, so you can log many items without filling it up too quickly. I love that there is a loose bookmark made of ribbon and an elastic band to keep the journal closed. The pocket at the back is nice, but I wouldn't fill it too much because it makes the pages not lay flat. I was deciding whether to get a Leuchtturm or a Moleskin notebook, but went with this one because I could get a soft cover which could fold over the back. I don't like to fold it over very often, though, because I am overprotective of it. Would buy again.

The SOFTCOVER A5 (Medium) Leuchtturm notebook works very well with the clips of an A5 Roterfaden. That’s because the spine of the notebook is more rounded than square, so it doesn’t crowd the other clips. It’s the best A5 notebook (with a lot of pages) for a Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter.

I love these notebooks so much. Ditched my Moleskine almost immediately after using these babies. For fountain pen users: I would say this is pretty FP friendly. I don't experience any bleed through and I use EF, F, and M nibs. There is some ghosting, but then again you aren't using Clairefontaine paper, so expect some ghosting (show through). I don't know how this would perform with broad, italic or super wet nibs. Pros: Table of Contents Page Numbers Stickers to stick to front and spine for easy archiving Perforated pages in the back Pocket in the back for storage (business cards etc) Cons: Soft cover will not have as many pages as hard cover I really love these notebooks.

This thing is amazing! It embraces the tactility of good ole'fashioned nice pen and paper note taking with smart design. I'm no engineer in the paper industry but this paper is smooth like a baby's bottom and it makes nices inks stand out and spread like butter. I alternate between a Montblanc roller, a Faber Castell fountain medium nib and a Lamy fine nib with Lamy and Montblanc inks. I'm impressed. All the good things of Moleskine (leather, closing band, etc) plus much better paper, numbered pages, date field on top, index pages and book mark. I was doing all those things by hand. No more. Buh-bye, Moleskine, helloooo Leuchtturm.

Numbered pages and a blank table of contents in front to fill out with your content! (I have had to go through some notebooks and hand number them and add paper to the front to make a table of contents to correspond to the numbers I just made - a big job). This great notebook solves that. Note the measurements as they have many sizes, and this one "Large" is not the largest - in the Kikkerland ecosphere the largest is called, "Master"! (actually on Amazon this size, 5.75x8.25 is called both large and medium, though according to company materials medium is the correct name). The other thing I love is their ruled lines are very thin and subtle - I like them there to keep me writing straight, but kind of in the background. For me they do this just right. It also has a big and strong pocket in the back. I love this design company Kikkerland, I also got their retro tape dispenser and unique paper clips.

A substack author I follow recommended these. I know they gave the dimensions but it seems smaller than listed for a lot of money. It is a gift for someone I love. So hoping they love it . If they do I’ll change my review .

Wunderschöne Farbe, perfekte Linienbreite (etwas schmaler), schönes Papier.

Die Notizbücher sind sehr wertig und bewährt, mir gefällt besonders das schöne Türkis. Beim Kauf beachten, ob man blanko Seiten oder linierte / nummerierte möchte, dann hat man ein schönes Produkt.

Schönes Papier, man kann beide Seiten ohne durchscheinen oder durchdrücken benutzen.
