Brie 1kg

This is the best brie I've ever had. Rich, creamy, with a beautiful flavour and no nasty aftertaste or smell. Supermarket brie doesn't come close to this delicious wheel of delight.

When f8irst received the cheese was bland and tasteless. Left for five months in the fridge it had developed a nice strong flavour. Patience is the key!

a dream came true, it's heaven to be able to order a kilo of Brie !!! quality is great and had tucked into the Brie upon delivery. when opened the amazon box, was nicely wrapped up with a cooling bag which was great. Thank you so much

I prefer Camembert, which is much stronger in flavour, but couldn’t resist this basic Brie wheel. A kg for £9 is really good value and I thought I’d give it a go. It arrived very well packed, still chilled in cold bubble wrap and surrounded by ice packs. I cut a wedge and put the remainder in the fridge. The wedge I left at room temperature for a couple of days and it’s started to ripen fully and become a little softer. Straight from the fridge, there’s not a lot of flavour, but leave it to warm a bit and the taste improves. This is made from pasteurised milk and the crust looks sprayed rather than naturally developed, which is what I’d expect for the price. But it’s good value; far less than a tiny per wrapped supermarket portion. It melted well in a mixed cheese toastie too. Recommended.

Creamy with a lovely texture, but not as flavourful as other Bries I've had.
