A true boon to compression hose wearers, if you take the time to learn it...
I purchased the Doff N Donner two years ago and still love it! I wear 30-40 compression knee-hi stockings daily. For those you who wear them, you know that these do not go on or off easily. However, with this device, it is as almost as easy as putting on regular socks! It took about 7-10 days to get really comfortable with it, and new, out-of-the-box compression hose may take a little more effort for 2 or 3 days until they are broken in, but other than that, my hose go on in minutes and off in seconds. Take the time to practice and to learn how to use it, as it does take a little patience in the beginning. If you work with a nurse or therapist, he/she can help you master this; there are also quite a few YouTube videos to help you learn through demonstration. It is a little easier if you have someone to help you, but even if you have to do it by yourself, it can be learned in a relatively short period of time with regular practice. And yes, the product seems pricey at first glance, but it has saved me hours of frustration and the hose last longer (no unnecessary stretching or accidental holes) so that it paid for itself in a matter of months, and several times over in the past two years. Most importantly, because of the ease of donning my hose with this device, I actually WEAR my compression hose every single day, which has saved my legs from the terrible swelling of severe lymphedema.

I love this device!
This item is amazing! I did a lot of research on this product before purchasing it. The negative reviews made me a little nervous but after watching multiple You-Tube videos (including a 6-year-old girl using it to put on her grandfather's hose) and being very desperate, I decided to take a chance. I am using it to apply my mother-in-law's compression stockings, which without any donning aid takes me about 15-20 minutes for the pair. She constantly wiggles and pushes against me "trying" to help the process, but it really makes it harder. With this device, it now takes me about 5 minutes for the pair...YAY!!! I've just gotten back over an hour a week. After using the Doff N' Donner, I think it would be more difficult to use if I were donning the stocking on myself as opposed to using it to put them on someone else, so that may be one of the reasons some of the reviews are negative. I don't use it to take off the stockings though, I just pull them off. I have been using the Doff N' Donner for about 2 weeks now, and have a few tips to pass along for anyone who might be having trouble. My first piece of advice is to look this thing up on You-Tube and watch some examples of people using it. I think that helped me more than anything else and was the real selling point for me. I did not purchase the cone applicator thing with it, but went to the local hardware store and purchased a dowel about as big around as a toilet paper tube. I sanded down the top rim so it's smooth and it works great. WAY less than $99 bucks. The key to a successful application I've found is that when you're loading the stocking onto the Doff N' Donner, make sure it is on smoothly. If there are any creases in the stocking when it's on the Doff N' Donner, those creases will transfer on to the recipients leg. Again, watching the You-Tube videos really helped with technique there. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this purchase. I do think it is expensive for what it actually is, but keeping in perspective of how much time it has saved me just in the last couple of weeks I've had it, it is well worth the price. If it eventually pops or ruptures or gets damaged in any way, I would definitely replace it.

Excellent product, but it does have a learning curve.
I got a prescription for compression socks (calf length) due to edema in both of my legs. The socks reduced the swelling after only a few days, but I quickly discovered how difficult they were to put on and take off. I first bought a Jobst donning device that worked pretty well. However, it couldn’t be used for removing the socks, which can sometimes be more challenging than putting them on. I’d seen videos of the Sigvaris Doff N’Donner, and decided to give it a try. I also bought the “Cone” accessory, which was no longer sold with the Doff N’Donner as a set. The entire set works great, but I have to say it takes some getting used to. The liquid-filled donut sometimes seems to have a life of its own, especially if you don’t push on it by its leading edge. Pushing it around the heel can also be difficult, but I found that using compression sock gloves makes this much easier. Another big plus of the Sigvaris product is that it easy to pack for travel.

not as easy to use as described for older buyers
this device makes putting prescribed compression stockings possible but still requires a user to be flexible If you have spinal issues/can't reach toes you will need a helper. The website videos show agile skinny young users having no difficulties but if you have short arms/ weak finger grip, spinal issues(I have rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune muscle problens< and spinal stenosis, then you might need a companion's help gertting them on. I am at least able to use this device to remove them myself.

Worth the cost
The Rolly is costly, but definitely worth it. Medical grade compression stockings are impossible to put on, not to mention aggregating and frustrating. Once I put a stocking on the black cone, It took a little time to figure out how to get the stocking to complete the first roll on the Rolly while keeping the stocking band smooth. Once that was done, I rolled all the way to the toe and was wearing the stocking in less than 15-seconds; the second stocking took way less time AND without frustration. My cardiologist was impressed with the Rolly and said he would definitely pass the info to other patients, as well as Prosthetics (VA).

La compré para mi papá que sufre de insuficiencia venosa, hace aprox. 3 años y le ha gustado mucho. Ahora compré otra para otro familiar que le gustó al verla. Bastante funcional

My old ball I had for over 2 years was cracked and old and developed a hole where the stuff inside was coming out the night before I ordered a new one on Amazon. It was a life saver to have it delivered so soon as my legs swell up so quickly with my compression stockings on. This time I will wash it more often and keep it out of the sunlight to see if it lasts longer. This ball helps me to keep my independence so no one has to help me because the other systems available kill my back to use.
