I really liked this throttle cable. Fit great had to cut some off to long but works great locks the throttle in position. Heavy built. Bought a cheap one that was junk. This is a high quality piece. My control stop cable was what I ordered just didn't realize it was not the land I needed but it came at the right time and I still was able to use it just put it in a different direction area of the boat that I used it for

I bought this to make a remote latch for my trunk. It seems to be good quality and easy to use. The installation was easy, with a plan.

Purchased to replace a $3 cheapo cable for truck overdrive control. The cheap cable worked but as you can see in the photo by the Arrow, when pulled back to disengage overdrive, the solid core hangs and eventually bends. So I purchased this Much more expensive cable which advertises as being of high quality for use in cars, etc. However, as you can see in the photo the solid core is actually shorter than the cheap one, and the cable is the same thickness as the cheap unit so the cable will quickly bend and become useless. Of course they don’t show you this in their ad. To make this purchase even more frustrating, I’m told I’ll need to either drive 20 miles round trip to return it, or pay $8 for a pickup, even though the item is falsely advertised. I’m retired, don’t drive much and live in the country so like many people I purchase from this site for convenience and to save driving expenses. With this retailer’s new policy of not providing pickups, even though UPS goes past my house several times a week, and the problem with the item is not my fault, this discourages me from making further purchases on this site for items I’m not already 100% familiar with.

Arrived quickly! I needed it for a hood release on my 48 Mercury and it worked perfectly! Online part stores wanted 4x the money. Very pleased!

I used this for a chocke cable to a truck Weber 32/36 carburetor. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cable. I originally bought one of the other cables on Amazon with the circular black plastic puller but found it was too cheap and unpleasant to pull. So, I figured I'd spend a bit more and get this Dorman cable with the much nicer T puller. To my surprise, the coiled sleave was thicker and higher quality in addition to having a really nice, solid T handle/puller. It glides smooth and works better than the cheaper cables. Great product. Very happy.

Using it as a hand throttle for stationary engine

Does the job well, used for my 12 valve cummins dodge ram fuel shut off. The cable is a bit tight unless positioned exactly straight.
