Yes, it is misleading, you shouldn't buy from sellers/manufacturers that do things like that. And the answer john gave about "N95 and P95 filter to the same standard" is also misleading, I wouldn't read what he wrote and do your own research, beginning with why the "P" in P95 or P100 has nothing to do with "particulate".

These are shaped to fit the two twist lock cartridge filters on the 3M 6800 full face respirator. The idea seems to be to replace the filter elements. Buying the filters is expensive as the 6800 costs $130 and a box of 12 filters over $200. This respirator needs to have the breath exhale port modified with one of these pads to protect others like a med masks does. Just stuff it in. Better to use P100’s as they block 99.7% of .3 micron particles, but the more restrictive the filter the slightly harder it is to inhale, and if modified, exhale. P100 and 6800 were developed as chem and particle masks for industrial applications, but work better than any mask as both sealing and filtration ( P100) superior to available masks.
