Best Turmeric Supplement I've tried
I've read a lot about the benefits (real and imagined) of various herbal compounds. I became curious about several of these compounds, because of some health issues I have experienced (sadly, I keep getting older, so I have to concern myself with these things). I'm not a big believer in superstition and heresay. I really prefer solid evidence. However, I am also sufficiently open minded and willing to try things for myself. What doesn't work for some people, might work for others. That being said, I decided to try Turmeric supplements. The first time I took one, I experienced some major flushing (e.g., I turned bright red), which I suppose is expected. The good news was, Turmeric seems to help alleviate some of the symptoms I was experiencing (I'm being vague because I don't care to discuss my health history for the entire Internet). I later learned that the particular brand of Turmeric I was using, had a hidden California Prop 65 warning sticker on the bottom of the bottle. That really disturbed me. The advertisement on Amazon did not mention this little detail. I decided I would not use that particular brand again. Other customers had also discovered this little fact, as evidenced by their Amazon reviews. So I decided to look for another brand to try. I presume that if a product doesn't have a CA prop 65 warning or sticker on the product, that it doesn't need one (I really am hoping that's true). After searching through the various products on Amazon, I narrowed my choices down to a few brands, including Dr. Danielle's Curcumin. Clearly, there was a significant price difference between what I'd previously purchased, and the other products I was examining. I have to assume that's because the previous product I was using, was somehow deficient or flawed (you can search through my reviews if you're truly curious as to what the other brand was). So I decided to pull the trigger and try Dr Danielle's Turmeric. I was attracted by the fact that this is an organic product, and contains a compound intended to enhance its effectiveness (Bioperine). Apparently this is a special sort of black pepper extract that makes the Turmeric more effective. My education is not in chemistry, so I did a little searching and learned that this Bioperine is a product that can also be purchased alone, for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of other compounds. So Dr. Danielle's product is really offering a little extra bang for the buck, as it were, by including this compound in their product. I also noticed that most of the other Turmeric compounds I compared, did not also include Bioperine. It is unclear why that is the case. So earlier this week, I received my bottle of Turmeric, and took one immediately. I noticed that once again I became flushed, which had not happened in quite some time. I don't know if that's because I was taking a compound that was more effective than the other brand I had been using, but I can't really think of any other reason why that would happen. More importantly, I noticed that it helped alleviate my symptoms from (the health condition that I'm not discussing openly). It's not a huge effect, but it is noticeable. So, is it worth the extra effort and cost? I suppose that depends on your point of view. I look at this as a quality of life issue. If I can help improve my quality of life a little, by taking an organic supplement, that other cultures have used for medicinal purposes for a Really Long Time (thousands of years, if you believe Wikipedia), then why not? Yes, it's among the more expensive brands. But it didn't come with a hidden CA prop 65 warning sticker on the bottom of the bottle! Which is a big plus to me. And it's working just as well, if not better than what I had been using before.

Nice to find an organic products that works!!
I am always looking for good quality organic products and this one does not disappoint. They do not cause stomach upset as most I have tried have. They are not so big that it is difficult to swallow. Has truly helped with my inflammation! Highly recommend!

Organic Turmeric Supplement that I would continue using
Dr Danielle is really a brand that deeply care about people's health! I have been using this supplement a while, the biggest benefit I've noticed is significantly faster recovery after physical activity - I used to be sore the next day after busy or intense days, but that's dramatically improved since starting this supplement. The anti-inflammatory effects are noticeable within just a couple weeks. I have more energy and less general aches and pains. The inclusion of black pepper extract (BioPerine) really makes a difference for absorption - many other brands skip this crucial component. The clean, organic formula with 95% curcuminoids has no fillers or bad taste. Created by a naturopathic doctor, it's worth the higher price for the quality. Will definitely reorder!

Great product!
Big fan of turmeric curcumin. I love that black pepper is added to enhance the benefits! I used to just use powder but it's time consuming, and taking it like this instead saves me time and ensures I get the right dose! No side effects either. The powder with water usually causes an upset stomach for me. This is a great product, and I will order once I'm out for the overall health benefits and joint support.

Prevents the chronic pain I was battling in both legs, caused by food sensitivities/inflammation
I recently turned 51 yrs old, am NOT overweight (5'6" and 133 lbs), and have a fantastic blood pressure level. Yet over the past 6 years, I have seen a ridiculous number of doctors... all of which have been unsuccessful in figuring out why my legs swell, to the point of pain that keeps me awake, and ruins my days. I have also been battling fatigue over that time period. I do not like taking medications long-term, so I was doing what I could in order to at least get temporary relief. I would lay on my back, with my feet up on the wall for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. I also used electronic leg compression pump sleeves, but could not get far from an electric outlet -- plus, the leg sleeves would slide down when I stood up. Both of these methods of relief aren't exactly something I can do while working, grocery shopping, etc. I decided to try turmeric, and purchased a big container of loose powder.... But soon discovered I don't like the taste of turmeric. So I was not consistent in taking it. It was at this point that I decided to try capsules, but discovered many of the brands on the market use gelatin, which I find disgusting as a vegan. This brand works very well in preventing pain in my legs -- though they do need to be taken BEFORE the swelling begins. Because it's not a drug, I find it understandable that it takes awhile for my system to absorb and respond to the turmeric. Overall, I am very pleased with this product, BUT I wish the manufacturer would use environmentally-friendly packaging and nix the plastic bottle. It's for this reason that I deducted one star from my overall rating. As far as the size of the capsules go, I don't have a problem swallowing them, but I could see where some people may. By the way, I eventually figured out it was the consumption of APPLES and WHEAT making my legs swell/hurt. Thankfully, I have no need to be strict about gluten contamination, because I do not have celiac. Although I have figured out the main causes of my pain, when I go out of town and need to eat in restaurants a lot, I find it extremely difficult to avoid wheat. So a week or two prior to the date I am due to leave, I start taking these capsules regularly, and am able to spare myself the misery of painful legs.
