Great for preschool!
These work great for my students who are needing support due to hand strength, coordination, etc. My students can feel the support and those who need it, will find these scissors without me needing to tell them they are specialized scissors. I have purchased a few pair and plan to get more.

Build cutting skill early
Highly recommended from an Occupational Therapist. Great for PreK to Kindergarten age students. Cutting skills lead to writing skills. Perfect for typically developing kids along with those with special needs. Great choice for younger students learning and building cutting skills.

Great for developing fine motor skills
Definitely a great choice especially if your child is struggling with their fine motor skills. The assisted switch makes cutting and learning the motion that little bit easier.

Came back for a second pair!
These scissors are so great for beginners! My child has low muscle tone, which affects fine motor development. Scissor skills are not only useful in everyday life, they’ve become a requirement in lower elementary. Before getting these scissors, my child would give up half way through cutting something, and within a couple of tries using this one, he’s quickly becoming proficient. It was game changing for us but it would definitely benefit any kiddo, it’s so much easier to stay motivated when the task at hand isn’t tedious AND hard! Highly recommend this product!

Works well for kids with decreased hand strength!
Ordered these to be used at our OT clinic! They work very well with spring loaded setting being optional. Can be used as traditional pediatric scissors or you can turn on spring to assist with opening scissors during cutting. Perfect for kids with decreased hand strength or kids learning to use scissors. Supervision still needed for safety as they can cut most things. My only complaint is that the screw holding both sides of scissors together often comes loose and even falls out with screwdriver needed to reconnect scissors.

Really helped my lefty
Good for my lefty who is struggling with cutting in Kindergarten- this has helped him improve skills and now he enjoys it and willing does crafts at home where before it was a very sore point for him.

Comfortable for a left-hander too!
My daughter was learning fine motor skills before I purchased these scissors, she has now developed excellent fine-motor skills. Surprisingly at first, I wasn't familiar with spring-assisted scissors or know if such a thing exists, but I must say that for anyone who is struggling to learn fine motor skills, this spring-assisted scissors will be a great tool. You can move the handle up or down as per your comfort, or if you believe that your child had developed such skills, you can stop using the spring setting & let them use it normally. Starting from when my daughter was a preschooler, she started learning to hold & move the fingers gradually, these activities may take some time to be developed because good hand & eye coordination is required, now when she began elementary school, she is doing great. It took a fair bit of time to excel in that skill for she is a lefty. My daughter is still using these scissors without the spring assistance & she loves it. The blades are sharp but rounded on top to avoid accidents. The scissors contain soft comfortable grips, a left-handed child too can use them comfortably

Great Toddler Scissors
Bought these for toddler because they had the same ones at daycare. She loves them. Cut construction paper well, she’s never had a safety issue, great size and grip works well for learning finger placement.
