As a longtime praline fan, these are great. Taste of New Orleans.

Not the gritty sugar, melt-in-your-mouth texture of Deep South pralines.
Not a traditional pralines IMO - though maybe the “creamy” description means it’s meant to be different than what I’ve bought in SC, NC and LA. The texture is more like warm caramels than more traditional pralines. The taste has hints of chocolate and tastes a tiny bit burnt. Not my personal preference but others may love it. It is nice that they are individually wrapped. And the price is fair.

This is NOT NOLA Praline Candy.
This does NOT taste like New Orleans Praline candy. I was born and raised in New Orleans and have been eating it all my life. I currently live in Colorado and was hoping to get a take of home. This was not it. They were horrible and chewy DO NOT BUY. I threw the whole box out. They were not a good value for the cost. They are very tiny pieces.

Where are the pecans…I found them
I was premature when I wrote the initial review. I guess in any process where nuts are added to a rapidly solidifying caramel then the result dolloped out will be a few flat ones and a few fat ones. Most will be just right. The big majority of Aunt Sally’s pralines do not disappoint. They are rich and creamy just like they always have been when I visited their store in the French Quarter. Apologies. Lesson learned: Sleep on criticism. I want more Aunt Sally’s pralines but I was too embarrassed to order more until I wrote this correction. So disappointed. These used to be a rich pile of pecans held together by wonderful caramel. The first one I opened looked like a flat caramel thing. Not at all like the picture they use in their sales pitch. If there were any pecans in that caramel thing they must have been ground up. I could not find them. I tried another. While some better there is less than a third of the pecans than the Aunt Sally’s pralines I fell in love with. Too expensive for trickery. Use caramel cubes and melt them to make a patty shaped caramel thing. Same taste. Much less $$.
