Could these be used on cookies rather than cup cakes?

They are roughly around the size of a 10p coin so would also fit onto cookies

No I don't think so..its more like rice paper

Do these melt in contact with the cake cream? The cake is covered in chocolate ganache and butter.

Its rice paper so it doesn't melt..keeps its shape but its very very thin. So handle carefully and gently or it can break.

As far as I am aware it is rice paper but I can’t be 100% sure
