Wright Products Heavy-Duty Pneumatic Storm Door Closer – Durable, Adjustable, Quiet-Closing with Hold-Open Feature (Transitional, Black)

I bought the Wright Products Heavy-Duty Pneumatic Storm Door Closer after my kids pushed our storm door too far and bent the bar on the previous closer. This replacement has been excellent so far. It was very easy to install, fit perfectly, and immediately restored smooth operation to the door. The closer is durable and works just as advertised. The adjustable settings allow me to control how quickly or slowly the door shuts, and the quiet-closing action is a big plus compared to cheaper models I’ve used in the past. I also like the hold-open feature, which makes it convenient when carrying in groceries or moving things through the doorway. Overall, it’s a solid product that does its job reliably and feels built to last. TL;DR: Easy to install, durable, and works smoothly with useful features like adjustable closing speed and hold-open.

Works great! (Jan 20, 2026, will update if it falls apart or breaks.) Previously had a Wright door closer on my storm door. Friend came by, opened it too far and messed em up so I had to replace it. Decided to go with the same brand since it seems they have the same foot print for mounting. They did, everything went together easily and I love the range of motion on this, before the door could only open at a maybe 80 degree angle. This one is allowing the door to open at maybe 110 degree, I didn't try to fully open it but it's more than enough. It functions well, the screw allows you to adjust how quickly it closes/how much air it releases at a time. Now let's see how long it lasts!

Easy to install and adjust. With that being said, it worked very well for just over a year. It stopped closing the door and popping loudly when opening a few weeks ago. Tried to adjust it and then it would just slam the door closed. On the bright side, I contacted the manufacturer and they’re sending a free replacement. Only gave 4 stars because a year wasn’t long before it stopping functioning correctly. But the customer service from Wright Products was exceptional!

This pneumatic door closer is too heavy duty for screen doors. It functions very well, made of durable metal, and smooth hydraulics. But this is for heavier solid doorsnor gate. On my patio screen door, it slams it. There is a way to slow down the closing but it still slams it when it gets close. Very easy to install and comes with necessary hardware. You just need to provide the tools

Great item. Easy install as it replaces an identical model. Took longer to unpack and dispose of the trash than install.

The quality of this product is great hardware included everything. The functionality was perfect along with the fit and great size. Saved my door in windy weather.

Very noisy, has a spring inside that is noisy when door is closing. Does a poor job of closing a 7/8" storm door after numerous adjustments to adjustment screw for door closing operation. . Supposed to be heavy duty, it is not.

Den Türschließer verwenden wir bei einem normalen Gartentor aus Metall in 1,2m Breite. Angeschraubt mit Einziehmuttern von oben auf dem Tor. Der Schließer lässt sich einfach einstellen, hat 2 Geschwindigkeiten. Die Kraft des Endzugs reicht dicke aus um das Tor ins Schloss zu ziehen. Um das Tor aufstehen zu lassen, reicht es einfach den Bolzen heraus zu ziehen.
