The Compressor and switch were acting up once winter set in. The initial unit shipped with the horns, started running often, so often it drained the truck battery to the point of replacement required. I was forced to remove the fuse in winter after battery replacement. This continued into year 2 and in October I had to disable the horns until spring. Between April and June the compressor finally died (still ran all the time) and no recharging the tank. The tank was holding pressure, and we checked the air lines for leaks with none identified. Once we replaced the compressor with the heavy-duty model and the new pressure switch, the tank holds pressure, and no random running of the compressor. I verified this with a battery Trail Camera sound and motion activated, placed facing the compressor in the engine compartment for a week with no intermittent operation of the compressor noted. Fingers crossed this resolves the issue for me. One comment! We moved the intake and filter inside the truck cabin when we saw how much dirt and moisture has accumulated in that filter. This will keep the compressor cleaner and avoid moisture and dirt accumulation collecting from the engine compartment. I recommend doing this when you install this system. Best of luck!

Great pump filled my 1 gallon air tank to 130 psi in less than than 2 minutes Where my pressure switch was set to cut it off The only thing wrong was the filter was busted up during delivery so I ordered a replacement from Amazon for $9.00 as I figured it would be to big a hassle to return or file a claim

Nice air tank pump. Haven't installed it yet, but did bench test, to make sure it works! A little pricey but hope this pump is better than the one I currently have.

I purchased this product because there is not a lot of choice in the price range. The first pump only lasted a year I have replaced it for the second time. We will see how it goes, i’m hoping it lasts longer this time. I wish it built up air faster, but it does the job. I use it on my Ford F150 pick up for the following. 1. Air bags 2. Airing up tires 3. Train horn 4. Blow gun

My og trailer compressor for the bags burned out. Bought this as the replacement and it was in upgrade from the original. Years later it is still doing its thing. Bought a 2nd one to to work as a tandem with the other one and I am very impressed what 2 can do. Trailer bags fill very quickly regardless of the weight I put in the trailer. Awesome product

40 days after I installed it. It no longer works. Power is good, relay by passed still nothing. Can't return it now so will be contacting vixen support soon. Will follow up on what happens. This was a replacement for My previous one that lasted 4 years. Very little use. Using fill a 3 gallon tank for an airhorn and occasional tire.
