This is a nice set. I purchased it for my amigurumi crochet projects. They are “safety” eyes and noses, but I still don’t trust them for very young children, but for older children, they are great. The set has multiple sizes, so you have a lot of options for your craft items. They are easy to use and come in a plastic box. It would be nice if the box also held the washers and tools for ease of storage, but for the price, I can’t complain too much.

Great eyes

I bought this set of assorted safety eyes and noses for my crochet projects. Some of the pieces had some extra plastic on them but it come right off so it's not a huge deal. I really like that the set comes with so many backings and an awl to punch holes for the eyes in case you're working with flat fabric. One issue I did have is the box they came in had some trouble staying all the way closed some of the sections were stuffed because of the size of the eyes but also because since the box was loosely closed some of the plastic pieces moved into other sections making the box bulge out a bit. None of the pieces seem to have fallen out though so I will just be repackaging them for storage. I marked off a star for the quality of the box and for the fact I will have to sort the varieties of pieces before I can use them. One other note is that this particular set didn't come with any kind of inventory paper, or organization list, this wasn't an advertised feature but it is something I've had in past safety eye sets and is useful for selecting the right size for a certain project without having to measure. A positive though is you get a lot of eyes in the set for the price.

I definitely think this package was more than enough for the price! I am just now venturing into amigurumi and these are the perfect fit for little eyes and noses to make my creation feel alive! They are super easy to install. They don’t come out of the project to pose as a choking hazard- very safe for the littles! I’m happy to say they have held up to my expectations for the job needed! I will buy more when I run out!

I get why they do it, but I really wish they wouldn't cut corners on packaging for things like this. If you dare to shift any eyes around, the box won't close without a fight to get them to sit right again. They couldn't have made it a smidge larger? Also, could they have not labeled on the lid the sizes? I mean, I have a tape measure, I can check. But because of the inability to close the lid, they get mixed up, and even before then, you have to measure to know. Also, I gotta say, the washers are. Not great. Once I placed some eyes wrong and was able to get them off and adjust the eyes. I checked to make sure I'd used the correct washer. But the smalls wouldn't fit, it was in fact a medium. Not terribly safe then. They look fine. The noses are cute, and I've used them sometimes instead of embroidering it on like some projects call for. I will give. I didn't pay much for these so, you know. You get what you pay for sometimes.

I did have one eye that snapped off of its base. The outside eye part came off of the stud that holds it in place. Thankfully it wasn’t a product I sold and was just my children playing with it. But it can be a very big safety issue if this is something that we’re to happen frequently. I know they’re plastic so things happen. With that said they are honestly really good, and other than the one eye that was faulty (showed no signs that it was when putting it in) and I’ve loved them. They’re are a TON of eyes and sizes, I’ve not needed any of the noses yet, but I’m glad that I have them for when the time comes that I do! Would definitely still recommend. Just keep an eye out for toys with these around young children.
