Works great on PC and Mac
I own two of these. The first one I purchased in late 2020 and it is still working fine. I purchased another to go with another computer setup. I am very pleased with these speakers. They are plenty loud for me and sound great for small computer speakers. And if it helps anyone, I am using one on a Windows pc and the other on a Mac Studio running Tahoe.

Just what I wanted
When I give this little sucker five stars across the board, I don't mean you're going to be amazed if you compare it to $300+ speakers. But for less than $20, this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Occasionally I have to use a PC whose speaker is crappier than the ones in those singing Hallmark Cards. Not only does this speaker solve that problem but it's 10x easier to use that the one I bought just before this (which I'm returning now). The other speaker had two cables, a power button that wore out after just a few weeks, and a sleep function that was really annoying. But this speaker only has one cord, no buttons and no sleep function. You don't even have to tell the computer to reroute the sound to the speaker (which I had to do with the previous product). You literally just plug it in and you're done. The sound from your computer simply plays through the speaker just like it should. Plus, the single USB cord provides the connection for power as well as sound. So, I just plug it in and go. The, when I'm done, I unplug it. No powering off, nothing. It couldn't be easier. And the sound is MUCH louder than the computer's crappy built-in speaker. I mean, sure, it wouldn't compare with something which cost 10x as much. But who cares? It was cheap, works great for what I need, and I'm very happy with this purchase.

Not bad but returned. Ok for computers. Speaker doesn't work hooked to gaming console.
I bought this so I could have a separate speaker for my docked nintendo switch. I have my switch hooked up to my pc monitor and I just wanted a cheap but decent second speaker so I don't have to constantly unplug and replug the external speakers I use for my pc. The problem is that the Switch does not recognize the driver for this speaker and therefore no sound so it's basically useless to me. It installs on the computer no problem and is plug and play on that though. The sound is so-so. It's definitely not as loud as claimed. I currently use the Dell AC511 wired soundbar for both my computer and switch. That one is also usb sound and powered only, so I think this is a good comparison. My switch recognizes and installs the driver for the Dell soundbar right away and I have no problems using it on there. When I compare this speaker to my dell, it definitely has a tinny quality to it. Honestly my pleb ears wouldn't notice the tinnyness if not for a direct comparison but since I had the option to compare, there is a noticeable difference. It's just a harsher and tinnier sound overall. These speakers sounds way better than any laptop or phone speaker out there so it's still a major upgrade if that's where you're coming from. The volume also doesn't get very high. I had it at 100% volume and it was as loud as the Dell's at 45%. Don't get me wrong; it sounds alright and I usually have my dell at 30%, so this soundbar is loud enough and perfectly fine still. I think this is a good bang for your buck speaker IF you are gonna get it for your computer. Avoid if hooking up to a game console, specifically the switch. I just wanted something cheap, but I guess my only option is buying another dell if I want a usb only speaker.

Loud, inexpensive desktop speaker
I always use my Bluetooth headset with my desktop computer, but sometimes I just want to watch some random short online videos without a headset. So, I searched for the simplest speaker with a small footprint. Simplest, with just one cable, and this USB speaker fits exactly what I need. The package was typical, with just simple branding. The build quality looks pretty good. The grayish black finish looks premium, but a fingerprint magnet. I plugged it in on the nearest USB port, and that’s it, it was automatically detected, and I was able to output music without needing to install additional drivers. I played a few rock music, and my wife immediately noticed how loud it is. Not the greatest device for music, but at this price point, it is loud enough to enjoy watching movies. It does have a little punchy bass at high levels, but at lower levels you won’t notice the bass. So, how loud is this speaker? Well, I have a 46-inch TV in my room, and this speaker can outpower the TV. I can now watch and enjoy my TV series without leaving my computer. Overall, there is nothing much to say about this speaker. It is very simple with just one cable, a small footprint, and loud enough for media consumption. If you are looking for a simple yet loud speaker, this is a good option.

It serves its purpose
My computer speakers died so I bought this to replace them. It’s small enough to fit under my monitor, which I love. The sound quality is not fantastic, but it works. You control the sound through your computer, not the speaker device. There is no on and off button on the device either. The only thing I have noticed that might be a concern is that my computer does not always recognize it, so I have to unplug it and plug it back in whenever I turn my computer on or return after it’s been asleep for a while, but because it just requires a USB port and my hard drive is on the desk not under it, this is not a big deal for me. And while we’re on the topic of where your hard drive is, please note that the usb cord on this is not long at all, so if your hard drive is under your desk, you may have a hard time situating the speaker where you want it. If you are looking for a speaker with high-quality sound, keep looking. If you simply need a speaker for online conferences and background music, this is a good price for the quality.

Great Value! Great Speaker! Impressed!
This is a sleek and compact speaker that has great sound. I have gone through a number of speakers in last couple years. The fight between cost and quality wasn't always fair. I was nervous to buy this speaker because it was on the cheaper side but I couldn't spend much after replacing my speakers 3 times in the last couple years. I was impressed by this little speaker. It has a nice size that fits under my monitor screen, it puts out great sound, there aren't multiple volume controls to mess with- it just works with your pc controls, and last but not least for me.... the cord doesn't short out on me leaving a constant buzzing sound!. Unfortunately I had bought speakers that cost way more than this one and had to get rid of them because the cables were always shorting out and leaving me to listen to a constant buzzing. I liked this one so much that when my son told me his pc speaker was going out I ordered one for him. He like it too! Great Value! Great Price! Great Speaker!

Major issue on Mac
I was satisfied with my purchase after using it for a couple of months — especially for the money. But lately I've been getting coreaudiod crashes on my late 2013 MBP. What will happen is, with the speaker plugged in, if I'm playing a video, the audio will cut out, and the video will continue forward at an accelerated rate (probably about 2 times as fast, with a little stuttering). Happens for locally sourced audio/video files as well as streamed audio/video such as from YouTube or music streaming sites. If I kill the coreaudiod process, I'll be able to resume watching/listening to the content, but it's gotten bad lately such that I'll only get about 3-5 min of uninterrupted play time, and then the bug will hit. Eventually, I suspected it was the speaker, and lo and behold, once unplugged the bug stopped appearing. Then, if I ever plug it back in the problem will return just the same as it was before the speaker was unplugged. Unfortunately, my mac's built-in speakers are crackling so I can't use them; and I can't use these speakers because of the bug — so frustrating. I've read that using a USB hub may help, but I think the whole point of these speakers is the price point, and that point no longer exists when you have to spend $20+ on a decent USB hub in order to use these speakers in the first place.

Nice little speaker for the price
My main requirement is to have a non-Bluetooth and simple to use speaker system for voice calls. This speaker is a good fit for these needs. Music is also good but not the best with not so much bass. The voice is clear and flowing straight with no muffles. Simple to use, just plug it into your computer and it works right out. No charging required. My other Bluetooth speakers sometimes run out of charge in the middle of the call. Moreover, the windows operating system is not so great for automatic Bluetooth connections. However, they are good for multi-device use such as cellphones, laptops and tv. But I needed a reliable speaker with less hassle and this fits the bill. The voice is more clearer in this than my other Bluetooth speakers. If anyone in need of sound amplification for voice calls with no hassles of charging, Bluetooth settings. etc this is the one to go.
