Used for Applying Liquid Glaze to Ceramics/Pottery
These brushes are great; they hold a ton of glaze, they are soft, and they allow be to put down a smooth, flowing coat of glaze onto my bisque-fired pottery. They are cheaper than buying from Blick or any other chain art supply store near me, and I like the assortment of sizes in this package.

VERY good quality!
im surprised, i bought these to do encaustic work, but then decided that i wasnt going to pursue that mediun as its way to messy for my studio set-up and i found a way to get the effects i want without hot wax (O: these were on their way to me when i made this decision, since i have 2 hakes i use with my watercolor work and i love them i thought i could go ahead and use these anyway... the 2 hakes i have i paid MUCH more than these cost... anyway, these are just as good and i LOVE the 3 sizes.. i am very happy with them so far no shedding either! YAY! i adore using a hake for my evergreens, which i paint a LOT of !

Good brushes for glazing pottery
Just what I was looking for to apply engobe and glaze to my pots! With a brush like this it is very expected to lose some bristles at first, the bristles are natural hair and I imagine that some break, and some may not have been caught in the ferrule properly in manufacture, so simply wash them really well, brush the bristles back and forth in the sink with some good soap or shampoo and then I always like to put just a small amount of hair conditioner on them and rinse well to keep the hair soft. Squeeze the water out and do not dry them on the bristle end, I like to dry them in the dish drainer, the slight angle allows the water to drain rather than sit at the base of the bristles. These are good brushes and properly cared for should last many years of constant use.

They've worked great as glaze brushes in my pottery course this semester
Obviously, not the most expensive brushes on the market, but they've worked great as glaze brushes in my pottery course this semester. The large one is too wide to fit in the pint sized container of glaze, but was great for using inside of pieces I poured glaze into or to get excess glaze off a dipped piece. They didn't shed and the knotting is tight. UPDATE: These are still in great shape after two semesters of pottery and I plan to continue using them. Quite pleased.

Great brushes for the money. Good Value and great service.
I've had a chance to use these and they are very nice. I'm new to watercolor and didn't want to spend a fortune on brushes for doing washes. These work very well. Although there was a little shedding at first, now they work pretty well. I do take the brush between my thumb and the side of my hand and tug a little each time before using. If there are any stray hairs, which I've found very few, they come off with that technique. The vendor sent them very quickly and well packaged. I'm very happy with my purchase.

These would be nice brushes except for one thing...
What I like about the brushes is how soft they were, and what I didn't like was how the brushes bristles would end up in my painting. I used these for encaustic paintings.

Soft Brushes. Good deal.
If you are looking for soft natural brush, this set is decent. It did not shed a ton like some other brushes I have gotten. They seems really soft. I use it for encaustic wax. Fits my need for a decent brush that does not shed and does not cost too much.

Great set for shellac
I use these store brushes to apply shellac. They are really fantastic for holding and evenly applying the finish. I have one that I spent $20+ on. I wanted some wider ones for when I do wider boards but didn't want to spend that kind of money. I took a chance on these. It worked great for applying the shellac to the spice racks I built for my wife
